So I came across this race through a website and I started reading about it and felt like this is something I would like to do, and keep it a tradition of doing it every year. Pamela Hansen is the chair woman of this race, she herself has lost two children and battled weight issues and then has run a few marathons. So a lot of people who have lost infants participate in this race, but it can also be for any loss you have experienced. It was a very emotional experience for me but it felt good to be a part of something like that. My sis Beth came and cheered me on as well as Kay. Tara ran it with me as well as my cousin Linda!

Bethanie was waiting for me at the finish line to get a picture, but she missed me, so I ran back and did a " fake" passing over the finish line! I know she felt bad she missed me, but I was just glad she was there. This course was HARD, there were lots of inclines and hills, and the last part you have to run up this steep hill. I was very happy with my time, I thought I was like 5 minutes behind what I was. I am not a fast, brilliant runner, I have never claimed to be, but it still felt good to push myself for my limitations.

Me and Linda!

Tara, Lind and I after the race!

Kay and I! Even tho I got up at 5 am on Saturday and wasn't in bed until about 11 and them up at 6 on Sunday, this race was worth it. Thanks for all the support from everyone in your words and thoughts!
