Busy Saturday

Kaili and I had a busy Saturday today. We headed up to Kaysville for my cousin Linda's baby shower! Which was " extra" special since my cousin Tyler and Linda have been trying for 7 years to get pregnant! They did invitro and they are now pregnant, with baby girl Jada, who should get here in about a month! YAY! We are so happy for them. We had sandwiches, chips, salad and some to DIE for sugar cookies, they were ssooo good! Thanks Kim for bringing those. Linda got a lot of cute stuff. I did the game of " baby charades" which people seemed to like and have fun with. Kaili took this picture of me and I told her I would put it on my blog!

My Aunt Janice, cousins Marie and Erika made this diaper cake! I thought it was so dang cute! Good job ladies!

My sis-in-law Katie bought this way cute St. Paddy's Day shirt for Karson. I thought it was so cute I had to put it on here! Thanks Katie. Friday Kaili, Karson and I had to trek to Kohl's to buy Karson some 12 month clothes, because he hardly has any clothes that fit him!

Karson Work Day

Pretty soon I won't be brining Karson into work with me on my 3rd day, it's just getting too hard, and he wants to be crawling around and doing more things. Today however so far he has been an angel He slept from 9:30-11:00 and he has been playing for the past hour or so and ate some lunch. I thought these pictures of him were so cute!
Some days are easier than others and so far today has been pretty easy. So lets hope it goes that way....

Uh oh now he is crying for me ot come get him out of the play yard!

Cruise....

Ok people I need your advice/help/comments. I know I have mentioned on my blog before about the trip that Ty and I have been saving up for the past two years. In June we will be able to access that money and plan our big vacation! I am so excited. We were looking into Hawaii, but it is quite pricey and might be a little more than our budget can go. BUT our next idea was a cruise! I have never been on one, but have heard they are so much fun! So I think we are leaning towards a cruise! So I need your help. What are the good cruise lines? Where are good places to go? Any one who has been on a cruise, please help us! Thanks!

Homemakers of America...

I often feel like this woman in the picture. I can always be seen holding a million things in my hands. My day planner is always in my purse, my calendar at work is scribbled on and the days are filled with writings. I know that you all feel like this at times too. Whether we are full time stay at home mom's, full time career women, or a half and half as I like to call myself! :)

I am always looking at people's blogs and I get jealous. Jealous of all the great idea's that people do for thier kids, all the job charts, and activities, and crafts. I feel like I am so far behind that curve. I want to do more things like that with Kaili. It's harder with Kaili because when we do have her we are always going, going, going trying to make sure everyone has some time with her.

I have books on Halloween treat crafts and Christmas treat crafts, and I didn't do one thing from either of them this year. I am determined to make Valentines Sugar cookies with Kaili and let her pick out some valentines so we can make some Valentines this year. I want to do a job chart for her and a rewards jar, and a naughty jar, and I want to incorporate all of these things with Karson as he gets older too.

I want to be a good mom, and I want all of my kids to remember that I took the time to do fun, creative things with them. I want them to remember that we did, fun and new things. I want to take them new and educational places. I feel like I don't have a lot of time to do all that I want, I make lists, I try to keep my time organized. But I still feel like I never do all that I want to do. I want to make new desserts I have never made before, I want to cook new things for dinner. I wamt to get my scrapbooking done, I want to be crafty and keep things neat.

Oh well I guess I have my whole life to try and be better at all of this Home Making Stuff. I just want to make sure my kids get everything that I did growing up and I want them to feel like I was there for them and made good memories with them! So here's to all of us Home Makers and beyond....all we can do is try, try, try and try some more! :)

Mama and Me

I had Ty take some pictures of me and Karson on Saturday. Kars is getting a little belly, it's so cute! So Saturday we had a pretty busy day. Ty and I went to lunch at Chili's and I got the soup and salad, I love the chicken enchillada soup there. Then we went to JC Penny to look for some new bedding and we found some for 50% off! We bought it with some left over Christmas money from Ty's parents and it is so nice and comfortable! Then we went and saw Mall Cop, I thought it was cute and funny, Ty thought it was a little cheesy, but it had it's funny moments.
Later that night we went to Italian Village for dinner with some of our friends. It was a good visit and it is always fun to go to places we have never been before.

Karson's second hair cut

So at 7 months I decided Karson needed another hair cut, he was pretty good at first, but then he kept turning his head so I had to hold him to keep him restrained and he didn't like that too much. It's pretty cute though because now I can spike it a little bit. I didn't do it in this picture though. Another thing his hair in the back is getting really curly,I love it!
Karson thinking he is so cool sitting in that chair!

Karson looking a little unsure!

Thanks Grandma for my rockin new hair! :)

Karson and his toys!

Karson is loving to play with toys lately, we got him this one for Christmas and he loves when it says " Yay" because I say that to him all of the time. He loves balls and animals, so I am thinking he is going to like sports and going to the zoo! :) I love watching him grow and experience new things!

Date Night...

So Ty and I went out on a date last night and it was lots of fun and nice to spend some alone time together. We used the first of one of our Christmas gifts from my parents which is season tickets to Desert Star Playhouse the play was " Home School Musical" and seriously it was HILARIOUS! I loved it! I for sure recommend it for anyone who wants a good laugh. The cast did really well, the guy who plays " Lanolium Dynamite" was so funny! But everyone was really good. We ate some yummy pizza and shared a pina coloda smoothie! It was a good night! Love you babe!
Here is a lovely close up picture of our faces! I look horrible, but oh well, proof of our one on one time date night! :)

The Bachelor

So myfellow Bachelor watchers, I had to post about this right away while it is fresh on my mind. Ty is not too happy about it right now, because he wants to watch tv with me, but alas that must wait! Let me start with.........Natalie....wow...when you are at dinner with a guy that you apparently want to marry, don't say oh I got lost and I don't even remember what we were talking about.....wow....and I am sorrybut I can't get over the orange make up, I love her comment in the car " I am not conceited, but any guy would be lucky to be with me, I could be a mom tomorrow" wow really.....that's amazing....they did NOT have a connection so he was just being honest with her by sending her home. I love how one second Natalie is in love with him and then when he doesn't keep her around, she is totally insulting him and saying all of these random things....it always happens that way

Jillian- Still in my top 3, loved her blue dress she wore on the "bust" date, she is fun, easy going and well adjusted to life in my opinion, still like her a lot.

Melissa- Still like her as well, I think that is crazy she got a breast reduction, I think he likes her playfulness, and the ability to be himself around her. Still top 3

Shannon- I am sorry how many times did we hear her say that he "felt her up" uh pretty sure he didn't, and I am done with her crying and the emotional roller coaster, she is a nice person, but she is much too clingy already, and the previews for the next episode are not in her favor. She is a DRAMA queen, I mean really you are not going to be his wife, no can do buckaroo.

Nikki- Miss Sandra Bullock look a like, I still like her, however I am learning more about her, she still seems very serious and I never really see her smiling. She admitted she was very OCD and he said he wasn't like that at all not a very good mactch.. and if she was with her one and only prior boyfriend for 11 years it makes one wonder why they broke up in the first place, but man I can't get over those dresses she wears, they sure show a LOT of cleavage this season....Also what about that wierd kiss they shared? That was somewhat awkward...

Molly- Molly has moved up into my top 3. I like her candor, I like her personality and I like how she has calmed down, like I predicted. As she is becoming more comfortable with him, she is being more herself. They seem to have a lot in common and I do think she could be a good mom figure to Ty. She is naturally cute

Naomi- Naomi has that sexy vibe, that lets face it what guy can resist that? She is too young for him, and I don't think they are meant to be. Does he like kissing and looking at her? Sure but in the long run not so much. I do like that she isn't really that catty though.

The two that said good bye...Kari....you don't have a broken heart, you've known the guy for 2 weeks....sorry you are cute and sweet, but there was no connection between the two of you at all.....good luck..Erica I am sorry but I am glad she went, they didn't have a connection either, and I didn't really love her, she was mad...just like Natalie was....but just leave with some dignity

Megan- I think I counted her being bleeped out about 7 times..why must you say the F word on national TV so much it's quite annoying, she also likes showing off her body parts. I hate when she says" I left my son to come out here" what does that mean? Because you left your son you should get Jason? Well that doesn't make much sense does it, I think she is too much of a hot head for him and like I have said before she isn't going to want to pick up her life and move. It will not work, waste of time.

Lauren- She is part of the drama, I like her ok, but I don't think she will be in the top 5. Give her two more weeks and then she is gone.

Stephanie- This is a tough one...I Like her, I love her accent I loved thier date with Sophia, but I just don't know about the romantic connection between them, she tries to make it happen, but I just don't know, I also think that she looks so much better natural, when she isn't wearing so much make up. So unless they start kissing kissing soon, not sure she will be around next week we will have to wait and see

So there are my thoughts for this week's show, if Shannon doesn't go next week I will KNOW it is the producers keeping her around, because I know he isn't going to pick someone that unstable....it's creepy the things she says around him.....she is nice and has good intentions...but really....

A*D*V*I*C*E*

So friends, I need some advice. We are going to Disneyland in May with my family, it is a sweet deal because my parents are using thier time shares, so we can all stay in two big suites for free. So that is a huge savings to us to not have to pay for a hotel. And my brother is going with his twin boys that are Kaili's age and we thought it would be fun for her to go with them. We are driving there, so that is a long drive. Karson HATES being in his car seat for more than a couple of hours, when I drive up to Brigham City to get Kaili I just hope that he falls asleep so he doesn't get bored and mad being cramped up for so long.

So I have been playing with the idea of leaving him here. Ty's parent's already said that they could watch him for us. He will be 11 months, and he wouldn't have any fun at Disneyland any way. It would be hot, he won't remember the trip, he can't go on any rides and the car ride, I don't think would be very fun. We thought it would be a good oppurtunity for us to spend some one on one time with Kaili. And when Ty and I do our big trip the end of this summer I would have to leave him then any way. So the question is...

Am I bad mom for leaving him for a week?

Should I bring him with me and just deal with the stroller and the diapers and the car ride?

I know it will be sad to leave him and I will feel bad, if he starts wondering where Ty and I are, and why he hasn't seen us for awhile, but I think it would be better to leave him here. And eventually we are going to have to leave our kids sometimes to go on trips etc, so I hope you all don't think I am a horrible person and you can give me good reassurance.

Thanks guys!

Weekend...

So we had a pretty busy weekend as usual. I already mentioned my burnt and over seasoned meatball catastrophe in some previous posts as well as my embarressing moment at Sweet Tomatoes...good times. Some other high lights of the weekend were playing with Kaili she has such an imagination. Such as she made up a song yesterday called " Stillness in the Darkness" and she was going to town singing it, don't ask me where she got those words from. She also calls her poofy bun in her hair a " pomp pomp" and the elastic's I put in her hair are called " plastics" according to her. She is getting so good at writing her letters, she is growing up so fast. She also painted my nails and did my hair on Saturday night and I looked oh so pretty... :). It's so fun to see what she will say or do next.
I got this dress at Target for $9.99 I thought it would be cute for February.

Here is Karson sound asleep in his favorite thing these days. He loves this jumper, he will just go to town in it and where himself out, thus the picture of him asleep. He was so tired, Tyler took him out of it and put him in his crib and he stayed right asleep. What a sweetheart! We went up to Logan last night to see Ty's brother Matt's new baby girl Emeri, she weighed 9.7 pounds but she still seems so small to me, she is a cutie!

The Bachelor....

So tonights episode was...interesting. Let us begin the summarizing.....

Stephanie- I really do like her. I think she is a very nice person and after losing a husband how she did, I think she is really there for the right reasons. I think she wears too much make up,but I do find her very sincere and sweet. She isn't catty and tries not to get involved in the fights amongst the other girls. She is the oldest one there and it shows, but in a good way. I don't know if he is that physically attracted to her though.

Melissa- Melissa grew on me this time. To me she seemed more relaxed even though she said she was nervous, and I liked how she was on thier one on one date. I think she will be around for awhile. I liked that she is down to earth and wore jeans and a tank top on thier date. I think she would click really well with Ty.

Jillian- I really liked Jillian as well. I think she is a talented person with her head on straight, you don't ever see her in petty arguments, and I like that she was the first girl that Jason kissed, I think she will be around at least until the top 4. I like how she can look cute being casual, but when she got dressed up she looked elegant.

Molly- I did think that was rude that she interrupted Megan's time with Jason. Molly already had a rose she didn't need to do that. I think she is a little too forward, and she is moving down on my list.

Shannon- This girl is a little too into him already. She knows facts about him, but she doesn't know him as a person but she thinks she does. And it is annoying, not cute how she always tells him how cute he is and how she is ready to be a mom. I don't think you are ever "Ready" to be a mom. It's something that takes time and patience, ecspecially being a step parent.

Nikki- I do like her. She does seem very mature and responsible. She needs to show Jason she can have fun also though. I think he really likes her and that she will be in atleast the top 3. I think it's cool she has only kissed one person in her whole life. I also like how she is already willing to pick up her life and move to Seattle, she knows what a committment becoming Jason's wife would be.

Erica- Um hi, you live in Connetticut, pretty sure she isn't going to want to move to Seattle, she is drama, drama, drama, I hope she is gone next week, also in the rose ceremony she was basically having Jason feel her up, by feeling her heart beating. I knew he was going to send Sharon (never had a chance) and Raquelle ( it was all over Jason's face that he did not want her in the car when he got in, he wanted to go home and sleep) home, so I think Erica got lucky by getting a rose.

Naomi- I still think she is really pretty, she looks like Eva Mendes, but I don't think she is his wife, not really a huge connection there...

Natalie- She cried because she didn't get the rose on the group date. Come on! That was silly. It seemed like she and Jason were having a good conversation at the pool so she should be happy with that. Still way too much make up. she looks better when she isn't wearing any make up.

Lauren- She has moved out of my top 3. I am seeing that she is very into herself and her looks, her little " oh my gosh, I am so glad I Am not getting the one on one date tonight, I would have had to do my hair curly and I would have been miserable all night.." uh really? I didn't know your hair was that high of a priority.

Megan- I am still unsure of how I feel about her, but I know this, pretty sure if he picked her she wouldn't be moving from Texas since her little boy's life is there, so she should go home next episode.

Right now I think his top 3 pick would be Melissa, Nikki and Jillian...but we'll see what happens next week! Until then, leave a comment and let me know your favorites!

Karson Update....

So my little boy is just a stud! I love him so much. I know I say this all of the time, but it's true. He is growing so fast! He likes to roll all over the place now and we have to watch him close, because he tries to roll off of his changing table and the bed. He is almost crawling, he tries so hard, but I honestly think in about a month he will be crawling all over the place and then I will REALLY need to watch him.
I love this picture of him looking at this book. I sit him on my lap and read books to him, he loves to look at the pictures and help turn the pages, only sometimes does he want to eat the book itself! :)

Karson eats about 4 things of baby food a day, his faves are, pears, blueberry apple, mixed veggies of potatoes, carrots and peas, and chicken noodle dinner. He is a good eater, however you will notice in all of these pictures he has a bib on because most likely some of it will come up.

He is starting to sleep all through the night which is heaven for me. If he does wake up it is usually only once in the middle of the night, sometimes it will be twice, but that is happening less and less. His bottom gums are SO swollen and he drools and bites on things all the time, I wish those bottom teeth would just come in for him. During the night he wiggles all over the place, from one end of the crib to another, and it's sad, because when I go to get him in the morning he is usually cold, because he has taken all of his blankets off of him. Silly boy!

Karson truly is a happy, happy baby. He laughs and giggles all of the time, and loves to play with his toys and hang out in his jumper/bouncer thing.

#10 In the year 2008 I never knew how much love I could feel in my heart. So many things happened this year, most of them were great, and a few of them were sad. But throughout all of them, one thing remained the same, and that is the love that I have living inside of me.
#9 We were blessed to have Ty's jeep only die on us a few 20 times....but lately it has been starting up pretty good, even in the snow, so we are happy for that. We need this car to work for two more years!

#8 We were lucky this year to not get too sick. I was worried once I started back to work, with lack of sleep and everything that is goign on that I would be sick all of the time, but so far so good. The only issue we had was in September I got my gallbladder removed, but the good news was that we got it done for free, since we had already met my out-of-pocket max.

#7 Since we added another member to our family, we have enjoyed spending more time with just the 4 of us. Karson loves watching Kaili and lights up whenever she is around, as our family gets bigger, we realize the little moments we have with each other are the best!

#6 This year we had Kaili for Easter it was so much fun doing some Easter things with her, and celebrating her birthday as well ( March 17, she turned 4) We love any extra time we get with Kaili and this year Easter was ecspecially fun.

#5 My cute little sister, found the love of her life. She wrote him for 2 years while he was on his mission and it has been smooth sailing since he got home . He actually moved out to Utah to be with her. I love seeing her so happy and seeing how much Johnny loves her.

#4 Ty graduated from SLCC with his associates and decided to continue his education at the University of Phoenix, so in 2 years he will have his Bachelor's Degree. I am proud of you Babe!

#3 My Cute brother got home from his mission about a week before Karson was born. He is now going to Dixi College, but it was good to see him for a little while and hang out with him!

#2 We celebrated our 2 year Wedding Anniverary. We realized that we can get through anything, if we put our faith in God and eachother.

#1 This little guy graced us with his presence 3 weeks early on June 19, 2008 and we have been madly in love with him ever since! He has brought so much happiness and peace to our lives. We love you Karson!

My Guilty Pleasure...The Bachelor...

Ahh yes The Bachelor. Yes I watched it and I will continue to watch it. What did I think?
Let's Begin.......
Renee with crazy eyes and her vision boards, they always have someone on thier with crazy eyes. She never had a chance. She was eliminated
Stacia and Treasure the two Utah girls, I didn't see him talk to them once....eliminated
Dominque who looked like a doll, also had some crazy eyes....eliminated
Jackie the drunk eliminated
Nikki- he gave her the first impression rose, I am wondering if he was mostly impressed with her dress, which showed most of her chest....she does have a pretty face, and so far I liked what she had to say....
Lauren the birthday girl, so far I like her.
Melissa the cheerleader from Texas she seems fun, but don't think she'll last long
Stephanie the widow, she seems like a great person, but not for Jason
Megan the mom from Texas, she is pretty, but she has quite a mouth on her I hate when they drop the F bomb on the first episode, not very lady like or endearing, and leaving a 14 month old.....that would be VERY hard.....why would she do that? Not judging, just wondering...
Erica is just going to cause problems
Shannon the pyscho dental hygentist, it she would tone it down, I think they would actually be pretty compatiable but not if she keeps acting crazy....
Jillian the interior designer and hot dog girl....I am on the fence with her
Kari the poem girl, why do they have to write poems all the time and read them on the first show? I liked her a lot up until then, I still kind of like her
Lisa from Idaho I like, but don't know if she will be around forever...she seems simple..in a good way
Molly I liked her for the most part, I think once she tones everything down and isn't so nervous, she will be better
Naomi I think she is pretty
Natalie had on WAY too much make up and she seems to young for him
Sharon the woman who resigend from her job...I think the show made him pick her, they do not have a connection and she seems a little out there.....
I think I got them all....so that is my stats for now...Also they show that DeAnna comes back...WHY in the world would they do that? Well I know why,to get people like me to make sure I watch it, but really DeAnna? You already broke the man's heart once, and now you are going to come back on the show? I don't like it. I think Jason is a good guy and I hope he really finds what he is looking for and it lasts! Until next week! :)

My word...

Happy 2009 everyone! My friend did a post on her blog about her "word" for 2009. I was thinking about that exact same thing for myself when I was reading her post, so I thought I would post my word that I am going to strive and be for the new year.
My word is DETERMINED

My whole life people have always commented to me that I am a "strong" person or I have a "strong" personality. Sometimes I felt like that was just a cop out to say to someone while they are going through hard times. But the older I get and the more that I think about my life and what I have been through, I do feel like I am a strong person in some form of the saying. And by being a strong person I feel like I have determination to do the things that I know I can do. I am determined to help myself become the better part of me. I always say that each and every human being on this earth could write a book about themselves and we would all find it intriguing. Every chapter of our life molds us into who we are, the only problem with writing a book about ourselves is that it could never end, because we are constantly evolving as human beings. So for my personal reasons, and to add a new chapter onto the Book of BreeAnn I have chosen the word determined, because that is what I choose to be this year!

I am determined to have more patience and to not the little things get to me so much, because in the end they don't really matter.

I am determined to be healthier. I know how to do it, I know I can do it, and I am determined to make it happen.

I am determined to be more positive and optimistic. I have a good life. It's not always easy, it's not always perfect. But it is good, and fulfilling and happy. I need to remind myself of that more often.

I am determined to make sure I have some sort of " Date night" once a week with my husband. Life is so hectic with us both working, Ty going back to school, and kids. I am determined to make sure my husband knows that I can and will make time for him.

I am determined to keep the goals that I have set for myself, some are religious, some are personal and some are physical. But I know I can do them.

And I am determined to start appreciating the person I have become. My best friend and I talked a couple of weeks ago, about how in High School we were so caught up with wanting to look perfect and be perfect and have the perfect friends, and perfect boyfriend, that nothing was ever good enough. I know now that I am good enough, and that I will NEVER be perfect. All I can do is try to be the best me. I know I will have bad days, but I am determined to make sure the good out weighs the bad!

What is your word?
