Running, Running, Run......

So since January 4, I have been going to the gym/working out at home at least 5 days a week. Most of the time I can't do it until 9:00 at night when Ty is home and Karson is sound asleep in bed. I am tired, my body aches, and most of the time I just want to go to sleep. But I don't, I put on my work out clothes, go out into the freezing cold, and work out.

I can tell I am losing inches, my clothes fit better, I feel healthier, and even though I am tired, I have more energy, wierd how that works eh? I have never liked to run for a long period of time, I am more of an aerobics, taebo, step work out girl. But lately I have been pushing myself to run at the gym.

This week I pushed the obstacle of running straight for ONE MILE, I did this and it was HARD, and I wanted to stop, but I didn't. Now did I run this mile very fast? mmm not really, but my speeds did range from 4.5 to 6.0 which is good enough for me. I may never run a marathon but for now my goal is to run 3 miles in 30 minutes. I may not get there for a couple of months, but I found something in myself that I have been missing for awhile, I used to be the girl who would do just 2 more minutes or one more set, I like being able to push myself and seeing results.

I don't know how much weight I have truly lost because I haven't weighed myself for awhile. I am scared of the scale,I am scared of it telling me I didn't lose that much when I feel like I did. So it will wait for now, and when I am ready I will step on my white squared friend and seewhat she says.

I am the girl that no matter what through out my whole life I will have to work out, no exceptions, if I want to maintain weight, I can't not work out, because the weight just comes back. One day I would like a treadmill at my house, then I won't ever have to worry about not being able to work out, it always be there for me, to remain focused, healthy and happy.

So even though I know I will never be an amazing runner like so many people I know, for now it's nice to know that for me running isn't so bad, and once I get in the zone, I can feel myself going a little further, a little faster, and a little better each day!

" Oh NO you didn't! "

So yesterday my mom and I were planning on going to Sweet Tomatoes together for lunch, at about 11:00 she calls me to tell me she had an " accident" and fell off the ladder and is in a lot of pain. ( turns out she broke her foot, but didn't find out until 4:30 that day at her Dr. appointment) any way so instead of going to Sweet Tomatoes, I dropped off Karson at my moms and ran to get us a salad from Chick-Fi-La, now for all of us who live in Utah and like Chick-Fi-La we all know that the one located by Target on lke 10000 So, is always packed at lunch time, So I get in line and see that there is a lady in a van to the right of me that is acting like she needs to get through traffic. Me, being the nice person that I am waited to let her drive on through, since the drive thru line was so big, oh no she BUTTED RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, and the 5 other cars that were behind me! I was livid! Now I know in the big picture of life, this isn't really that big of a deal, but it seriously irritated me that she butted, didn't waive or say thank you or anything! Oh I wanted to yell at her! She had sunglasses on and was on her cell phone, but I was shaking my head at her, and I know she saw me. So I get back to my mom's and tell her what happened and she said you will never believe this, " Last week I was at the same Chick-Fi-La and a man butted in front of me in the drive thru, when I got up to pay for my food they said, oh that man in front of you paid for your meal and said to tell you sorry he butted in line and that he was in a hurry." Ha, can you believe that? My mom got a free meal out of it! After that I just laughed and got over it, but it is still annoying. I think this is why I would NOT be a good " black friday" shopper I cannot stand inconsiderate people who butt in line! :)

Hi guys! So this year I wanted to try and do some different things with my blog's. On my tbfankhauserfamily.blogspot.com I will be posting pictures of my family and about the happenings in our lives. Jungle Gyms

So this weekend we had originally planned a little trip down to St.George. Unfortunately since Ty had to take a week off after his surgery and for lovely medical bills we weren't able to go. I wanted to do something fun with the kids on Saturday, so we went to Jungle Gyms. It was PACKED, annoyingly packed. There were some interesting people there, BUT the kids still had a good time. Kars didn't know what to make of it at first, but he went on most of the rides with Kaili. This was his favorite ride. I think they went on this one 3 or 4 times.

" Buh Bye"

So this is one of Karson's new things. He gets my little purse and puts a hat on, and walks around saying buh bye. It's so funny and cute! Don't worry in that purse he keeps some of his balls, he can't go anywhere without a ball to play with. I think it's because I always have my purse and then he sees Kaili with her purses, so he thinks he is being like us.
It is so funny, because he wants the hat on, then he takes it off, but then right after he wants it right back on! Silly kid!

I love my popcorn boys!

One of Ty's favorite things is homemade popcorn! He would eat it every night if I would make it for him. Karson has taken after his dad. He LOVES popcorn too, and loves to have his own bowl even better. So here are my boys eating some popcorn. Karson has to watch Elmo about 5 times a day now and he loves apple juice in his sippie and eating popcorn or fishes!
Cute boys! Kars barely takes a bottle now, if he does it is about once a day! He is getting so big! He has also started walking up and down the stairs instead of crawling! What happened to my little baby?

" I like morphine..."

The above quote is what Ty kept saying at the ER once they gave him some morphine to help his pain subside. It was quite funny....

My life has been insane, so I haven't had time to post about Ty's gallbladder attack and surgery. On Tuesday December 29 at about 1:00 am Tyler woke up with some really bad pain. He was tossing and turning, throwing up and didn't know what to make of it. Finally at around 2 am he decided we needed to go to the ER. Tyler never wants to go to the Dr. so I knew he must be in some major pain. My mom came over to stay with Kaili and Karson and we headed over to Riverton Hospital. They got him right in, which was nice. At first we thought he might be having a heart attack, because he was in agony. They did a chest x-ray and his heart and arteries looked good. They had to call in thier oncall radiologist to do the ultrasound. That took forever! Finally we figured out the pain was gallstones, and quite a few of them, like 15 to 20. They sent him home with some pain meds and told us to call a surgeon the next day. We got home around 6:00 am, Karson woke up at 6:45.

Tuesday we met with the surgeon and schedule the surgery for Monday January 4. Tyler was really sore the whole week and we couldn't really figure out why. It hurt when he would take a big breath. We survived the week and Tyler ate really healthy so as to not upset his gallbladder.

Monday they called us to come in at 8:15 instead of 10:15 so we thought this would speed things up. Not really. Tyler went into surgery at 11:30 and didn't come back to the room until about 3:00. Turns out his gallbladder was severly inflamed and that is why it took longer to get everything out. Also the surgeon retrieved all of the stones. I was able to read a whole book in peace and quiet, while I was waiting for him, the chairs weren't so comfortable, but hey I got to read. I was glad when they told me everything went well, I am one of those crazy people that always imagine the worst outcomes, and let my mind wander....

Last week Ty was pretty sore, but each day he got stronger and stronger and he is doing great! Now he and I both don't have our gallbladders....wierd!

Karson's 18 month stats

So my sweetie pie is 29 pounds 80% and almost 35 inches 90%! I can't believe he is 18 months already! He LOVES Sesame Street and can say Elmo, Abby, Big Bird and he knows who Cookie Monster is but can't quite say his name yet! He loves balls, cars, books, and music all in that order! Love you Kars!
