Stephenie Meyer's Wesbite

Hey Twilight Fans! Guess what? A preview for Eclipse is up on Stephenie's website, and she is releaseing a new book about Bree Tanner...you know the newborn vampire at the end of Eclipse? She has a link on her site, that will allow her fans to be able to read the book for FREE during a designated time online, then it is also coming out in a book as well, I think that is awesome, because we will learn some new things about Riley, Victoria and all the newborns for Eclipse! Should be good!

What is on my mind at the moment....

I go on wheat thin kicks, and I am on one right now. I love the reduced fat wheat thins and like to eat them with low fat cottage cheese! Yummy.
I am running the Salt Lake City 5K on Saturday April 17. I am excited and nervous and all sorts of things. I am kicking it into high gear these next 3 weeks to make sure I am ready for this. I am constantly thinking about it, and if I will be ok. I already registered so there is no turning back now.

I have been browsing people's blogs and wesbites to try and find new dinner ideas. I feel like I make the same old stuff all the time, so I am trying to experiment and explore other options.

I really like this powerade zero stuff, no calories, good taste and it gives you vitamins. So that works for me!

Money, money, money! Aren't we always thinking about money? I have been trying to be So good with our money, I have been planning out our meals for the week with groceries so I don't buy any excess food, and I feel like it is going pretty good, but then I also feel like there are things that come up, and we can't ever get ahead with the money situation!

Holidays....I really want to make sure I do fun activities and traditions with my kids around the holidays. I try to do fun dinners or breakfasts with a certain holiday. I feel like I need to be better at this because I have so many great memories from my childhood pertaining to the holidays!
Easter candy... I love Easter Candy...it haunts me. I have to be so careful and not let myself go overboard, but a piece here and there won't hurt anyone right!

Easton...

A couple of months ago Tyler and I were watching Desperate Houswives...it was an episode where they were showing current events now, and then what the future "could" be like. Lynette a character on the show was pregnant with twins and she was having complications...they went to the hospital and she was told that her son was having difficulty in the womb and if he were to live he would be disabled, she was concerned by this and started having doubts as a mother. It showed the future where she helped her son become a great young man, and he went on to be the valedictorian in his class.

After she woke up from her surgery she found out she had lost her little boy, but that her daughter inside of her was o.k. She started crying and said, "he would have been so great". At this point I started bawling uncontrollably, I hadn't cried that hard in a long time, Tyler knew exactly why I was crying and just held me and let me cry. It's good to have those moments every now and then, to just let it out.

Easton will be 3 years old this year, and it's hard for me to comprehend that sometimes. It's like that whole experience was a dream, and yet sometimes I can feel the pain so vividly that it hurts. I was at a baby shower on Saturday and a woman came with her baby boy and his name was Easton. It's wierd for me when I see a child with that name, a little something inside me aches, and at times it's hard to breathe. I often wonder what his personality would be like, what would he like and dislike. We have started showing Karson picture of Easton and telling him who he is, and I swear he gets it, I swear he does. He becomes quiet and reverent and listens to me talk about him.

Karson The Golfer

Saturday Tyler took Karson outside for a bit and he was loving it! He was playing with one of Tyler's golf clubs trying to hit the ball. Obviously the clubs are too big for him,but he was doing a pretty good job of accurately hitting the ball. He is obsessed with balls! I know Tyler just loves it because they will have sports in common. It's so cute to watch them play together!
Karson on Sunday in his "spring" Sunday clothes. Karson is growing up so fast! He has some meltdowns, like when he can't play outside anymore, or when he throws his balls inside the house at pictures and gets in trouble, but for the most part, he is still a very good little boy. He loves to help me do laundry, it's so cute, when he hears the washing machine start, he runs and gets a stool and puts it right by the washer and puts all the clothes in it for me. He also loves to help me put the silverware away from the dishwasher. Right now he is loving cinnamon toast, lucky charms cereal, and ketchup! He will just scoop up ketchup and eat it!

My Little Driver!

Karson loves to sit and play in my car! It's the cutest thing ever! It makes me nervous though that he will lock himself in, so that is why I always leave one door open, but he doesn't like the driver side open. He loves to hold my keys and he has mastered how to put them in the correct place!
He is growing up so fast! I just love him so much!

Happy Birthday Kaili!

Kaili's Birthday Party Decorations

So as I have mentioned before Kaili's birthday party was High School Musical themed, I tried to find little things here and there to use for the party. These rings I found at Party City and thought they would be cute as cupcake toppers. I am no good with making cupcakes look pretty. I just can't do it, but I tried to make them as cute as I could.

That is East High crepe paper I also found at Party City

Her napkins that I used for the party

This is the table where we had the food set up on

This was the counter I had decorated with HSM stuff and the candy for the movie!

This is the awesom theatre room where the guests watched the movie!

Spring Blocks!

Lately I have been visiting a bunch of craft blogs, and I have seen some different ideas evoloving around the same aspect of these blocks. So I did my own twist on these blocks at my mother-in-laws house yesterday and I am VERY happy with the results! Thanks to Kay and Larry for the wood, paint and vinyl! I am lucky to have all the supplies I need when I want to craft, thanks to them!
Aren't they sooo cute! I want to do some cute summer ones now, I have some ideas in my head, and also some cute winter ones! Fun stuff!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway....

So Thursday night we headed down to St.George. First we stopped in Lehi to eat at Tepenyaki for our anniversary dinner! We also had a 20% off coupon, which saved us like $8 so that was nice! The food was yummy and it was great to go to dinner and not have to worry about kids. We got to St.George about 10:30 and we went to sleep. We wanted to sleep in, but we both woke up at 7:30 am! So we got up and went and worked out, I know aren't we dedicated? ha ha After the work out we came home and got ready and headed over to see my little brothers house where he lives, Roury goes to Dixie. Any way we then headed over to the Olive Garden for lunch!
Uinta Gold just opened up a brand new store in St.George, so before our movie started we headed over here so Ty could check out the place. He also had $30 in gift cards there from his birthday last year, so he got a Nike golf shirt for free! We saw When In Rome, I thought it was a cute and fun show and even Ty liked it. After the movie we met up with Roury and his friend to go bowling! Tyler got a 229 on his second game! I don't know what my problem is lately but I cannot get a decent bowling score these days!

After bowling Ty and I went and grabbed some Five Guys for dinner and headed back home. We watched a movie at the house and hung out. Saturday we got up and went to the gym again! Tyler ran over 5 miles! The altitude makes a huge difference in our running, it's easier to breathe and run in St.George. Any way we went and ate lunch at Outback Steakhouse and then saw another movie Valentines Day. I liked it, but it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. Saturday night we took it easy, I was able to finish a book I was reading and Tyler got some homework done.
We had such a wonderful time together and appreciate Tyler's family and my family for watching Karson for us so we could have this little getaway!

Happy 4 year Anniversary to Us!

March 11, 2006 was a cold and snowy day! I wasn't getting married until 3:00 because we had to plan our wedding in pretty much 2 weeks, and that is the best time that I could get. I barely slept the night before and I was so excited, anxious, emotional, happy and all kinds of other emotions! I had finally made it, I finally got what I deserved, and what I had been looking for, for so long, it just happened to take awhile to find me. My heart was truly happy and I had no doubts about marrying Tyler. Our relationship was a different, fast, emotional and turbulent one. Both of us being married before, having had different experiences, has sometimes made our marriage harder and sometimes easier.

Tyler and I are very different people, we have different ways of handling things, opposite opinions about things, we argue, we disagree. But we also laugh, and learn from each other, we are best friends, we are partners, we even out each other's strengths and each other's weaknesses. No matter what I know I can depend on him for anything and everything that I need. And if I am ever upset at him all I need to do is pull out my wedding pictures and look at them, because I was shining pure happiness that day.

Life is hard sometimes, it is stressful, painful and sad, when I am dealing with the tougher times in life, it's nice to know I have Tyler alongside me to help me through it all. And when we are relishing in the good times life brings, memories, laughter, watching our kids grow, it makes me feel so content and secure that I have this wonderful man standing by my side. Our love is constant. No matter the argument, no matter the issue at hand,I know that our love will fight through it.

March 11, 2010. Now it is four years later and here we are, still strong, still holding onto one another, still happily married. I love Tyler so very much. When I have a quiet moment to myself I sit and think about how crazy it is that we actually did end up together. Tyler Fankhauser the missionary in Argentina....

You were my missionary long before I ever knew
It was mapped out just for me
And I was so lucky to have it be you.
It took me awhile to figure that out, but I am so very glad I did.
The day I wrote you that first letter, I had nothing to lose. I wanted you to get to know the real me, because for so long no one really had.
It was easy to write you as we had never met before.
I sent your letter off feeling happy in my heart.
Secretly I couldn't’t wait to hear back from you and when I got your letter I knew I had found you,
The person I had been looking for all my life
I was so scared as we had lived different lives.
You were an angel sent to me and I wasn’t sure if I deserved you.
I realized I missed you.
I missed you every day
How could I miss you if I had never even met you?
But I did.
I bought you cards and sent you treats
I thought about you all the time.
I wondered how it would feel to lay in your arms and feel safe.
Safe from the pain I had felt for so long,
Safe from the heartache that haunted me at night.
You were the light to the end of the tunnel that I needed so very much.
I had your pictures all over my room
I looked at you each day.
Your eyes are what interested me the most,
and I wondered what it would be like
when I could look at them in person.
You floated in my dreams and in the poems I wrote.
You were my sunshine on my cloudy rainy days.
The first time that I talked to you on the phone and heard your soft sweet voice
I wanted you to come home that next day,
I didn’t want to lose you, because I feared that I would.
My letters became longer, because I had so much to say
I loved your letters you wrote back to me
and each night I would say a prayer for you.
I made you tapes and sang you songs
You were my missionary and you always will be
I felt your love from miles away
And thankfully I have it today
You were an example, a healer of my faith
I love you more than words can say
So even though it took us awhile to find our way back to each other
The first day I saw you ,and looked in your eyes again
when I felt your arms around me
I saw my missionary
and this time I wasn’t going to let him get too far away from me.

Happy Anniversary Tyler! I truly do love you more than you will ever know!

Discovery Gateway!

Yesterday we were able to go to Discovery Gateway with our friends Michelle and Asher! They have a 4 person pass there so we got in for free! Thanks guys! Karson of COURSE was in heaven, when he saw this massive " ball beehive" thing. You can put balls in all different holes and they go up in tubes or down in the ground, or it makes music when you drop the balls. He seriously loved it! There were quite a few people there because of school field trips, but Karson didnt' seem to mind. We looked around at the other stuff, but his favorite place was the balls and he kept walking towards it and saying " ball, ball, ball"
I wasn't sure if I was going to go since my tooth was still bothering me, but I decided to and I am glad I did, because Karson had so much fun!

That is a picture of cute Asher, he was born in August, so just a couple of months younger than Karson. It was cute because both boys ended up wearing BYU shirts! Asher is so smart and talks a ton. By the end of the day he could already say Karson! I was impressed!

Sweet Karson in heaven with the balls! I don't have any pictures of his face, because he was too involved with the balls! :)

How cute are these buckets????

So my sis-in-law Katie came over yesterday to help me assemble these cute buckets! I needed her handwriting, since mine is not so great! I got these buckets to use at Kaili's birthday party and of course I will use them for many more to come! They were only 99 cents each at Party City. Kaili got to chose between Hannah Montana and High School Musical for her birthday, you can see which one she went with. We are going to be watching the movie High School Musical in our friends SWEET home theatre! So as the party favor I wanted to have treats available for everyone while watching the movie, so this was my version of a "candy bar" now I have seen similar ideas to this on all these party blogs I have been looking at lately, those "candy bars" are much more prettier than mine, because they use all these different shaped glass jars for their candies. I have a few clear jars, but I thought this was bright and fun for a kids party.

I found these little popcorn bags at Party City as well so people can put thier treats in them. Aren't they cute? I love how my buckets turned out, yes they are simple, but I think it will add color and fun to the party! Love them! Thanks again Katie!
