Cruise Day 5: Thursday August 20 Mazatlan Mexico

So in Mazatlan we didn't really have a set plan of what we were going to do. We ended up going to a "resort" and listening to thier spill about getting a timeshare with them. We did this because we got a free taxi ride through the city and one to take us back to the ship. They told us that we would be able to go swimming in their pool, and use thier private beach. We brought our swimming suits, but when we were ready to change into our swimming suits, the bathrooms by the pools were disgusting! So we ended up just playing at the beach for awhile, and then heading back to the cruise.

Ty in Mazatlan! It was VERY humid this day. On our way back to the cruise ship we shared a taxi ride with this nice couple from Chicago. The taxi was kind of fun because it was an "outdoor" so you didn't feel hot and cramped up.

Cruise Day 4: Wednesday August 19 Puerto Villarata

So wednesday was our first stop in Puerto Villarata. When we get off the ship, we got to take our picture with a real parrot. It was pretty cool, so we bought the picture of me and the parrot. We were hanging out with our friends Bryan & Nora, but we weren't sure what to do. A guy comes up to us and says for $25 a tour bus (van) will take us on a tour of the city, up to the jungle, to a place to eat, a tour of a tequilla factory and shopping. We thought that was a good idea and decided to do it. I was glad we did. I thought it was really fun and interesting.

At the place we stopped to eat at. The drink was so yummy and so was the guacomole and salsa and chips! I decided that when I go to Mexico next time I need to bring like 100 $1 dollar bills so I can tip all the people who try and help you for tips. There was this old lady in the bathroom there who would hand you a paper towel or get the soap for you etc. The first time I went in the bathroom I didn't tip her, but the second time I couldn't help it. She was so grateful for the $1 bill I gave her she did the cathlioc cross sign, and said "gracias" I almost started crying. Sometimes I feel like I don't have enough " things" but then when you go to another country you realize that you do have plenty of " things". Any way...

Yes that is a picture of a local guy cliff diving below the place we were eating at. I mean really, it was crazy! He ran like 20 feet on a rock and then would jump. The last time he put a blindfold on his eyes and jumped, now that was crazy! Tyler thought this guy was so cool!

Ty and I at the tequilla factory. I had to pee so bad here, but I couldn't do it. The toilet seats had no lids, and I had to squat over them, but nothing would come out! ha ha!

After our tour and shopping. I didn't really buy anything, 2 braclets for $1. Ty and I just basically walked around, the van took us back to the ship. We went in the ship and got some yummy sandwiches from the sandwich place and then went back out to play in the ocean. This water was SO warm, it wasn't as clear as it should have been, because there was a bad rainstorm the night before so it was muddy looking, but still fun to play in.

Cruise Day 3: Tuesday August 18

Here is Ty with our Tuesday night bunny all sprawled out on the bed!

Here we are in the Morocco Lounge, waiting for the " adult" comedy show to start and doing karaokee. I did Happy Together this time, and totally messed up! Oh well, it's just for fun right!

And Darius and Christina, don't let Darius fool you, he is the NICEST guy, he loves Napolean Dynamite, and he has the best smile, if he would just smile !:)

Me and Ty at dinner. I wish I wrote down what I ate for dinner every night, but I think I had a pasta that wasn't very good at all, so then I ordered the salmon, the salmon was excellent!

Here is Ty, we were playing cards. Tuesday was kind of a bad day for us. It started out with Ty going to a golf clinic, and I layed out on the deck, and took a little nap which was nice. Then we were trying to figure out what to do and couldn't think of anything. We ate mongolian bbq for lunch which was ok, and then went to this Trivia game thing, that was ok as well. We were supposed to get $240 dollars worth of ship credit from when we booked our cruise, well it never showed up on our account, so Tuesday we went to guest services to ask them about it and they sent an e-mail to headquarters and we were told we weren't eligible for the credit, but no one gave us a reason as to why. We were planning on using that money for excursions on the islands so it sucked big time. Ty was REALLY mad, I was mad too, but I figured there was nothing I could do about it now, so Ty needed some time to chill.

I just took this of myself, waiting for Ty to come back with a coke, it was just at some chairs alongside the casino over looking the water.

Cruise Day 2: Monday August 17

Monday morning we got up and went to the buffet breakfast on Deck 9. They had a little of everything and it was really good. They had these amazing mini chocolate muffins that were so good! After breakfast we went up and played miniature golf. Tyler beat me by one stroke. As we were coming down the stairs from the mini golf course, I fell flat on my face. Classic BreeAnn, right?

This picture is out of order, but after dinner I sang Karaokee. It was fun. I sang Any Man of Mine.

Monday night was the first " elegant" night of the cruise, here is Ty and I at our table.

Another one of us. I loved our table because we had a great view of the ocean! We sat with some really cool people. Christina and Darius, they are from Santa Barbara CA, and Nora and Bryan. Nora is originally from Memphis, Bryan from Motana, and they live up in Logan going to Utah State.

This is me on the fancy staircase. Below is the main lobby where they would sing, and behind me are some of the clear glass elevators.

Here I am again on the fancy stair case. The cruise ship has cabins on decks, 1, 2, and 3. Then decks 4 & 5 had shops, bars and lounges, a casino, lots of couches, tables and chairs to play games on and hang out etc. They had a " disco" as they called it called The Red Carpet, a piano bar, El Morrocco Lounge, The Cool Lounge, The Robusto Lounge ( which smelled gross) some kid clubs, etc. It was pretty cool!

This is the AMAZINGLY delicious chocolate melting cake! Seriously it was SO FREAKING good! It just melted in your mouth! Nora and I couldn't get enough of it! So dang good. I will miss you chocolate cake!

Cruise Day 1 Sunday August 16, 2009

We arrived in Long Beach at around 10:30 am. We hung out in the airport and ate lunch at thier cafe and then caught a cab for $30 to the Queen Mary port. It didn't take us that long to get checked in and onto the ship. We thought it would take a lot longer than it did. First thing Ty wanted to do was explore the ship. The ship weighed 113,000 tons and had 14 decks. It was huge. We were on the bottom deck 1.

Here I am in my lifevest, after we had our lifevest traning. I was in the middle of doing my hair and we had to go up there. Pretty funny. This is the window we had in our room

This is our first night at dinner. I had the New York Steak, it wasn't that great, but I had shrimp cocktail for a starter that was very yummy.

Here is Tyler with our towel of the night the Walrus. After dinner that night we went and played two games. Entertainment trivia. I got to go up on stage and play agianst 2 guys. We hit buzzers and everything. I was 2 points behind the winner and I should have one, the buttons weren't very accurate. Ty played after me, but he and the other guy got stomped by a girl. She knew everything! After that we played famous faces, They would show a celebrity on the screen and you would have to write thier name. There was 50 and I got like 38 right, but someone had 42 and won. We went to the opening show, which was ok, but after the show was a comedian who was very funny! The cruise ship had a miniature golf course on the very top deck, the next level was a gym and spa, the nex tlevel was the slide and a pool, the next level was just a deck where you could eat food, and then deck 9 The Lido deck was a big deck with pools, hot tubs, eating places, and the buffett rooms, which were huge!

La...La...La.... LIFE!

So this summer has just been insane! I can't believe we are already heading towards the middle of August!
NEW CAR- Aw yes we bought a new car yesterday. It is a 2009 nissan altima, blue, with sunroof and what not. We got $6000 off the total cost of the price so figured this was a good time for us to buy. Although I am not thrilled with another bill to pay, last winter the jeep barely survived! Tyler got a little sentimental in letting the jeep go, but all in all it was a good decision for our family.
CRUISE- We are going on our cruise very soon, and I am SO excited! We have been waiting for this trip for two years so I think we are going to have soo much fun! We will be going to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Villarta. SO excited!
NEW MOON- I cannot WAIT for New Moon to come out! I am so excited to see it, and they are already starting to film Eclipse! Eclipse better be awesome with the fighting scenes!
DATING IN THE DARK- I am still loving this reality show on Monday nights, it is so interesting to me.
KARSON- He is growing up so fast, he now likes to shake your hand, point at things, and he wants to talk sooo badly. He can almost say thank you. He LOVES cars! Ty and I were thinking of having him be a racecar driver for Halloween! How cute would that be!
KAILI- Kaili is starting Kindergarten can you believe that! She is growing up so fast! She will love it though and I am excited for her!
PARK CITY- We are going to Park City the end of August with my family. I am very excited because I love Park City, and it will be a good chance to get some good deals on Fall clothes for the kids. Karson is rapidly growing out of his clothes!
