Tylers gifts to me

So since Friday Ty has to work all day and then that night we are going to Boondocks, Ty wanted me to open my presents from him at my parents house. I got two new books, a Carol Higgens Clark, Zapped, and Nicholas Sparks The Lucky One. I am excited to read them in the car on the way to California! Ty also gave me some cute green casual compfy pants, brown medium heeled shoes, and a cute BLUE purse! Katie said I like to make statements with my purses, and I guess she is right! Thanks babe for all of my gifts, I love them all, but love you even more!
Close up of the electric blue purse! YOu know you love it! :)

Early Birthday Celebration!

This weekend was pretty busy for us! Friday night Ty and I ran some errands I was looking for a swimming suit that I would actually feel comfortable in, you know wearing it in front of other people comfortable? Any way I looked at Old Navy and Target, no such luck. We were able to get Kars some cute sandals at Target. So we went to dinner at La Frontera, made a stop at Wal-Mart and went home. Saturday we ran over to SHADE at the District and I was able to find, a cute, modest swimming suit, I feel good in! Ty was very patient while I tried like 6 of them on. It was more than I wanted to pay, BUT it will be worth it, because I will wear it for a very long time! YAY! I am glad that is done with. Then Saturday night, my parents took us, and Bethanie and Johnny (Johnny's birthday is April 24) to a Steak buffet dinner at Apline Country Club. The steak was yummy and so was everything else.
Sunday we went to church and then headed over to my parents. My mom made her famous chicken enchiladas, and we had veggies and chips and salsa to go along with it. Very yummy! For Dessert we had oatmeal raisen cookies ( Johnny's choice) and my usual Strawberry Shortcake, very good! I was spoiled by my family and I appreciate thier generosity so much! Rylee & Katie gave me a gift card to Forever 21, and so did Bethanie and Johnny! It's always nice when you get a shopping spree for free! My mom and Dad got me 3 pairs of MUCH needed shorts, two skirts and one shirt. All from Kohl's. My mom and I went shopping there a couple of weeks ago and got most everything at 40% off!

I can't believe that I am almost 27. I feel that I have experienced a lot in my life and I am thankful to have found the path that has landed me where I am now. :)

Wicked = WICKED AWESOME

So last night, my mom, me, Katie and Bethanie headed down to Capital Theatre to see Wicked, I have to say it was the BEST musical I have ever seen. I didn't know the story of Wicked or anything, I knew it was a very popular musical but that was about it. I Loved the story, music, humor, the cast, everything! It was just beautiful!
I wanted to buy a really cute t-shirt, but they were $35 and I couldn't justify it! Maybe I will find a cheaper one online or something!
This was before we left. Don't you love how Bethanie and I look pretty much NOTHING alike!

Me and my beautiful mama! I think my mom and I have the same eyes and smile.
On our way to Wicked! I am so happy I was able to go! Oh and a cool side note, President Monson, L. Tom Perry, and President Ucdorff ( I am sure I spelled that wrong) were at the theatre to see the show as well! Oh and I look the tallest, because I have huge heels on and Katie is bending down, but really Katie is the tallest out of all of us. Any way it was a very fun night! Thank you Dad for the tickets! I will never forget it!

Administrative Professionals Day

I am lucky to work for my Dad. He is a great boss and always remembers the little things. Today for Administrative Professionals Day I got a $40 American Express card, some popcorn, a note pad, a cute purse and a little garden decoration. Then he treated the whole office to lunch at Red Robin. Thanks Dad!

Karson is 10 months!

I had to take Karson into the Dr. last Friday to follow up about his ear. They never told me his percentages when I went in for his 9 month check up. So right now he is 57% for height and 54% for weighit, so he is right in the middle, which is great! Karson is starting to take a couple steps at a time. He can stand up on his own and hold his balance for a very long time.
He is discovering his voice more, and I am pretty sure in a month, he will have a few words down. I can't wait to hear his cute little voice! Watching life through a childs eyes is amazing.I love watching him discover new things. He is truly the best gift I could have ever received. Whenever I am playing with Karson, my mind always drfits to Easton and I wonder what kind of child he would be. I know one day I will find out, but I still wonder what his personality will be like.

Karson is so fun, and I wouldn't trade the restless nights, the busy weekends, and the stressful days for anything. He is worth all of that and more!

I love you Kars!

Sunday

So Sunday my parents invited us over for carbonara on Sunday afternoon, unfortnuately my dad started to not feel so well, so he just stayed in his bedroom. After dinner we went outside to play, Karson experienced grass for his first time and wasn't very fond of it, he would sit on it and clench his hands, because he didn't want to touch the grass. Eventually my mom got him used to it, by sitting with him on the grass and throwing it in the air. It was nice because he mostly stayed in one place playing on the blanket.
Johnny and Tyler decided it would be fun to play this golfing game outside, so my mom, Bethanie, Kaili and Rylee joined in and they had a lot of fun together. We went home around 7:00 so Tyler could finish his paper and Kars could wind down for bed. All in all it was a pretty good, and exhausting weekend. Ty and I were both running on little sleep. Kars and Kaili decided to get up at 6:00 am on Saturday morning, and Kars was up at 6:30 on that Friday morning.

Kaili & Karson

This was on Sunday morning. I didn't really get any Easter pictures of Kaili and Karson together, since we didn't have Kaili on Easter, this isn't her Easter dress, but I thought these pictures turned out cute any way. Kaili is into telling people that " My baby brother likes this, or my brother doesn't like this" I think it's cute that she is calling him brother instead of Karson

Kaili the Singing Princess

So Friday Kars and I treked up to get Kaili and traffic was great, which was nice for me. Kaili was very talkative on the car ride home and I enjoyed listening to her talk to me and tell me about the new Hannah Montana movie she saw, and that she would see it with me too, because she really liked it, even though it was a really long movie..she told me this about 5 times. So I think I will take her to see it....:) She also mentioned to me that when we got home she wanted to dress up and that we should buy Karson some boy dress ups so she and Karson can dance together.
So as soon as we get home she goes and puts on this dress up. My mom gave these to her two Christmas's ago, and they still fit. A little short, but she is so skinny these 3T dress ups still work. She started dancing around and singing, so I grabbed some paper and started writing down what she was singing. So I now present to you, Kaili's song:
I will not go
I will not stay
I am hiding under a tree
I want a magic world
I want it to be full
I sing these words
Help me to, help me
I need help
I want to do things
Even if I peeked
How I Know what I want to do
What do you want to do?
I want my things to be with me
I want you to be here
What do I dance? What do I sing?
You need a song
Ask me to, ask anybody
I do want you
Now I sing this song for you
I pick a dance, I will for you
I just love her creativity, this is her dancing away!

Just NORMAL every day life...

So I don't really have anything exciting to post right now, just a few things about what is going on in our lives. Ty starts his 3rd class at the University of Phoenix tonight. (5th class according to him, because he was able to get two of the other required classes waived, due to his Associates Degree) He received an A in his first class and an A- in his second class. So that is always fun.

Last Tuesday Karson wasn't acting like himself, we took him to Kids Care that night and he had a nasty ear infection in his right ear. They put him on his 3rd antibotic and we will see if it clears this one up. If not I am going to take him to an ENT to see if he needs tubes. I had tubes put in my ears at 4 months. He has now proceeded to get a cold in his eye and a cough and runny nose. He of course is a trooper and most of the time you wouldn't even know that he was sick. I am so lucky to have such a good baby!

I have now become obsessed with watching re-runs of Gilmore Girls. Bethanie let me borrow Season 1 and while Ty was watching the Masters this weekend I was sneaking in some episodes, and I am watching Season 4 on TV I think...any way I am a fan.

I can't believe that I will be turning 27 in a couple of weeks. That means I will have been out of High School for 9 years. Hello! It's just wierd at how fast life comes at you. Any way I am looking forward to a fun, jam packed summer full of trips, camping, outings and spending time with my family. Hope you all had a great Easter!

Early Easter

We celebrated Easter with Kaili and Karson last weekend, since we won't have Kaili for Easter this year. It was of course another jam packed weekend.
Sunday morning we got up and did Easter with the kids. Karson loves rolling around the plastic eggs on the floor and Kaili had fun finding them and her basket. Kaili got some little things and then the movie Enchanted and some dove chocolate, she loves those things!

Kars got some new books and a DVD as well, and I can't remember the name of it rightnow, oh well he had fun going throug his stuff.
Later Sunday morning we went over to Ty's parents to do Easter with them and watch conference. Kaili got some new pajama's and some slippers and pj's for her Hello Kitty stuffed animal and of course lots of candy! Kars got a new outfit and some cute books that he already loves to look at. Ty's parents gave us some spending money for Disneyland and more candy, then we had lunch. We had roastbeef that was really good and baked potatoes, veggie and dip, yummy. Karson was loving the baked potatoe.

Then we went over to my parents house for the second session of conference. I actually got some scrapbooking done. I finsished Christmas pictures for Kaili and Karson, now I need to move on to Valentines Day for Kaili and Halloween for Karson. But at least I got some stuff done. THen we ate my dads famous " goolosh" for dinner and muffins and a yogurt/granola parfait my mom made that was really good! Then we had a big family meeting at my parent's and discussed all of our plans for the summer and trips etc. It was really good to get organized and be on the same page with everyone. Then the kids did Easter with my parents. Kaili got a new outfit and some new flip flops and a fairy necklace toy. Karson got two new outfits and an Elmo sippy cup. Luke and Fernanda also brought everyone some Easter treats which was really nice of them.
Growing up I always liked Easter, because it meant spring, and freshness and a new chapter of the year. I wish it would be warmer these days around Easter, but I still enjoy it. Also I like Easter because of Christ. Christ is always giving us hope and a sense of starting over if we mess up, and I am thankful for that in my life.

Look what my cute husband WON!!!!

Oh yes people! Ty won this! We got a FREE 32 inch LCD HDTV flat screen TV! How did he do this you are asking, well I will tell you.
One of Ty's co-workers Max apartment complex was doing a NCAA bracket tournament. There were three prizes. 1st place was the TV, 2nd place an Ipod and 3rd place a gift card to Gastronomy places to eat. Any way Ty organized the bracket pool for his work, Max didn't really want to do it,but Ty had him fill one out. So a couple of days later Max found out his apartment was doing a bracket and asked Ty if he wanted to do it. So Ty printed off his bracket choices that he picked for his work bracket and gave it to Max.
Well last week Ty told me he was in first place, but the whole time he hadn't mentioned to me first prize was a TV, I thought first place was an Ipod and I wasn't that excited about it, because both Ty and I already have Ipods. So today I called Ty at work and asked him if he had heard about if he had won the bracket or not, he was acting all nonchalant about it even though he found out this morning that he had won. He told me he wasn't sure, and didn't think he had won and I didn't mention it again.
Well he got home from work right at 5:00 which was odd, because he usually doesn't get home until about 5:15, Kars had just woke up from his nap, so I am carrying Kars down the stairs and I see this huge TV box, at first I was like "huh?" and then Ty was just smiling at me, and I was like " Is that a TV?" and he goes " Yeah" well I know Ty wouldn't just buy a TV without telling me, so then I was like " Wait did you win that?" and he told me that he did! YAY! I am so excited! We have wanted a flat screen for a long time, but just kept putting it off, and now we have one and better yet it was FREE! So It was a VERY nice surprise! Good job Honey, I am so proud of you for knowing your sports! :) And thanks Max for letting Ty participate we appreciate it so much!
So my Tuesday night turned out fabulously, hopefully you all had a good Tuesday night too!

Randomeness and Conference

Kaili loves to take pictures lately, so these are just some random pictures of us on Saturday.
I like this one of Kaili and I a lot.

KAili took this one!
Close up! So a few thoughts about Conference. I thought they had some really, really, really good talks. A few that hit me the most were on the last session on Sunday about Temples, and Temple work! Man I really need to go to the Temple! I felt like such a slacker, I know we all feel the same way with how busy our lives get, but I guess I just need to try harder to find the time. Also President Monson's talk about the woman who lost her husband and had to bury her 3 children at different times on her own, just about broke my heart. There are SO many people out there with such FAITH, and DETERMINATION, that I feel so inadequate at times. I have lost ONE child and the pain of that,at times I thought was unbearbale, I can't imagine losing 3 children and my husband. It just makes me realize that even in times of trials I am still blessed. I love President Monson and enjoy listening to him always.

Kaili & Karson

While Kaili and I were trying to draw and color Easter Eggs with glitter pens on Friday Karson was being a stinker and doing this. Crawling and standing up the stairs. He loves to do it, even after he has fallen down a few times. ( only a few stairs, but still)
If I let him he would crawl up all of them as fast as he could. He likes to crawl while holding a toy lately too.
Kaili has always loved to draw, but recently she is more into writing and sounding out her letters. She can write her name very well and knows all of the letters and the sounds that they make. I know she is just going to LOVE Kindergarten.
Friday I got a little break and didn't have to go pick Kaili up in Brigham City, which was nice, her mom dropped her off at around 10:00 on Friday so we got to hang out and do whatever. We went to Sweet Tomatoes that night and Karson of course loved eating the bread and frozen yogurt!

Danie Baby Shower

On Saturday we had a shower for my Bestest friend Danie. We have been friends since 8th grade, and we have been through SO much together. Even though we don't see or talk to each other as much as we would like to, our friendship has never faltered. Danie is having a little boy! Yay! So our kids will be 11 months apart. I am so excited for her and her husband, for awhile it seemed like having a baby might not happen for them, but then out of the blue it did! I know she will be a great mom and I am excited for future playdates with our little guys! Congrats Danie, you know I love you! BFF!
This is Emily and I. Em came up from Colorado to be able to come to the shower and it worked out great! Emily has a little boy that will be 3 in May so he is the oldest of the bunch.
Jenny and I have also been friends since Jr. High, her little boy is 6 months old, and he and Karson will soon be getting to know each other very well!
The four of us, Jen, Danie, me, and Em. I don't like this picture of me because my face looks wierd, but I thought I would post it any way because all four of us are in it.
We had soup, salad and breadsticks from The Olive Garden and it turned out great. She got a lot of good things and it was a fun shower.

Karson...my little bubbers...

Karson will be 10 months on the 19th of April! Where has the time gone? He loves to play with this walker toy and walk, it is the cutest thing ever. He will also just stand up on hiw own for quite a long time!

Karson LOVES bath time, and even when there isn't water in the tub, he wants to play in it, thus this picture. He seriously trys to climb into the tub himself, but he can't quite make it. When I do turn on the tub water, he will come crawling in at full speed, and can't wait to get in there!

He always has some kind of red mark on his face, because he is constantly bumping his cute little head into things, because he won't sit still for one minute! I love him to pieces though!
