Presidents Day Weekend

We had Kaili for Presidents Day this year, however Friday I woke up not feeling well at all, and didn't know if I could really drive up to get her, Tyler was able to leave work early and pick up Kaili. Friday night we just hung out at home, Saturday we had plans for some people to come over and watch the BYU game, but we had to cancel as I still wasn't feeling well, I took a nap and just lounged around all day. Sunday I was feeling even worse, and did the same thing I did Saturday...nothing. Finally by Monday I felt a little bit better and we were able to run some errands and go out with the kids. We went to Party Planet in Draper, it used to be called Incredible Pizza, but they changed thier name. The kids have lots of fun there, they went mini golfing and mini bowling and played lots of games! Kaili and Tyler did the bumper cars together and Karson shot some hoops on the basketball games.
Grandma Kay went with us and the kids loved her being there. After playing we went over to Coldstone and had some yummy icecream, Karsong got half strawberry half cotton candy. Kaili got chocolate with sprinkles and chocolate chips. It was a good day and nice to have some extra time off!
Tuesday I went to my baby Dr. Appointment, things are looking good, I have been having some minor cramping every other day, along with swollen feet and fingers, and Im not sleeping.at.all.
I go in again on March 8 and I will be 35 weeks.....so we'll see what they say at that appointment!

Karson the Golfer....

I know I have mentioned before how much Karson loves golf, but the kid is truly obsessed. For example:
* A few days ago we got a flyer in the mail from golf galaxy showing some pictures of clubs and golf things, Karson carried it around the whole house and when we would leave it had to come in the car with us, he showed Tyler and told him he wanted to go there, on Saturday Ty took Kaili and Karson to golf galaxy where Karson putted on thier putting green for about an hour, then he told Ty he wanted to go to the " other golf place" Unitah Golf, so he could putt there
* Every morning he asks to watch the golf channel over Disney channel
* He WILL sit there for up to an hour on my bed and watch golf, he gets so into to and will say things like " oh oh oh MISS" or " oh oh oh in in"
* He asks for his own golf bag all of the time
* He carries around battered, torn up golf magazines and asks for a pen so that he can circle all of the golf holes in the magazine and says " please, please" telling us he wants to golf there
* At my parnets house he goes straight to where the golf books and magazines are kept, piles them up on the couch and sits there and looks through each one

This yellow "golf club" is like a nerf club, it has been sitting in the Bathroom since before Christmas, as his "potty prize" Feb 13 he went in the potty for the first time and got his prize, we are slowly working on the potty training, but I can usually get him to go in the potty at least once a day, he is still in diapers though, because he has not taught himself how to control the urge yet...we will get there...any way ever since he got his prize he plays with it every day and says "Daddy turn, putt, Karson turn putt" Also when he wants me to putt, I have to hold the club with both hands in the correct position, if I do it one handed, he tells me no and shows me how to hold the club correctly! Sheesh!

All I know is that Karson and Daddy have some very fun times ahead playing golf together! Have I ever mentioned how much I love this kid! :)

The Aquarium

As I have mentioned before, Karson loves going to the aquarium. I took this picture a couple of weeks ago when we were there, I thought it was very cute! His favorite things at the aquarium are the jelly fish, finding the fish that look like " Nemo and his dad" as Karson puts it, and the turtles. Sometimes he likes the sharks, other times not so much. He loves the movie Happy Feet, so you would think he would love the penguins, but he mostly just passes right on by the penguin area. We haven't been for a couple of weeks now, because my feet are starting to swell up like squishy balloons, if I am on my feet for even like 30 minutes! But we will soon be going back there once a week, to walk around after this baby comes! :)

You know you're in your 3rd trimester when....

1. Averaging 4 hours of sleep a night is a GOOD thing.....
2. You get up to go to the bathroom roughly 5 to 10 times a night....true story for me.....
3. You feel hungry, have no clue what you want to eat, and then when you do eat, you feel sick right after....
4. You go to make Crystal Light and only use an " on the go" packet for a 2qt pitcher, and wonder why your 2 year old says " yucky" when he likes Crystal light, only to drink some this morning and almost puke and figure out what was so wrong with it yesterday....
5. After being on my feet for an hour, I feel like I have walked a 5K
6. If I stay in one position too long on the couch, I seriously can't move...my body gets too stiff...
7. I feel fat, fat, fat....
8. I am worrying constantly about making sure I can get everything done before the baby comes, then worry about how I am going to manage everything after he comes....
9. Driving long distances is killer on my hips and legs....
10. I have begun to start day dreaming what I will hopefully look like by fall....
11. I am drinking lots and lots of water, I feel thirsty all the time...
12. I wake up once every night with my stomach growling at me, like I haven't eaten anything all day...
13. I am having the wierdest dreams these days...
14. I just wrote 12 again after I wrote 13.....
15. My headaches are getting worse....
16. It's hard to breathe evenly a lot of the time....
17. My hips are barely functional.....I have to switch sides that I am laying on about every hour, part of what keeps me up all night...
18. This baby likes to dig his cute little feet right up under my rib cage and push....I swear he will be longer than Karson was....
19. I am tired...so..so...tired...all....the....time...
20. I am excited, nervous, anxious, happy, worried, curious and all sorts of things about this baby!

T-Ball

Saturday Ty and Karson headed over to Riverton City to sign Karson up for T-Ball, yes I know what you are all thinking he is a bit young, BUT the kid is ready. The actual cut off is they want you to be 3 by April 30. He won't be 3 until June 19, so Ty had to meet with the VP of the Association and the VP had to sign a waiver, allowing Karson to play. He looked Karson over and asked Ty some questions and decided it would be ok. One of the questions was " So can your son throw a ball?" that is just so funny to me as he has been throwing a ball since he was 10 months old. My sis-in-law Amanda made a comment yesterday and said Ty should have said " Uh will the other kids be able to catch what he throws?"

Every kid has thier talents, and things that they are good at, some kid talk really well really fast, some kids read early on, some kids recognize musical sounds quickly, Karson was born with coordination, the kid has focus, drive, and patience for all things sports. He already has a baseball stance, a follow through with basketball and a golf swing. As parents I know we all like to brag about our kids and thier abilities, but it is just crazy for me to watch him do anything sports related. I have a feeling he may keep us very busy, and I am so excited to see where his passion for sports goes. We need to video him so you guys can see what I mean, he will stand at a basketball hoop and shoot one after the other, over and over again, never stopping, never giving up! He is such a stud and I feel so lucky to be his mom!

Valentines Treasure Hunt

I did Kaili & Karson's Valentine Treasure Hunt last weekend since that is when we had Kaili. It wasn't anything too extravagant but the kids had a lot of fun with it. I gave them a clue to find thier first prize as Karson calls them...
It was in the dryer...pez refills, both Kaili and Karson really like pez I think it's gross but they like it...next prize was in dads shower, it was a make up bag for Kaili and practice golf balls and real golf tees for Kars..don't you just love that cheezy smile of his!

Next prize was in the oven, and it was Horton Hears A Who for Kaili and a Thomas the Train movie for Karson

Then it was in the bathtub, a big box of nerds...
Then on our bed under the pillows were shirts.....

Then the final prize was hidden in Karsons room. In thier little baskets there were some suckers, a pez cartridge, some chocolate hearts, a nail polish for Kaili and a little car for Karson. Oh and they each got a little stuffed animal that Karson kept saying was "nice". They were excited to find everything and it was fun to do it for them!
Happy Valentines!

Fun Times with Daddy!

Truth be told, Karson is a Mama's Boy, hands down. However there are some things mommys just can't do as good as Daddys can. Karson loves to play "horsie" with his Dad, he climbs up on his back and makes Tyler take him all over the place, when Kaili is here she also likes to do this with Ty. Karson's other new thing is to tell his dad to " RUN" and they run down the hall together, back and forth, back and forth. He also loves to watch " golf ball" with dad, Karson is obsessed with golf, by his own choice! :) I know he and Ty will have many bonding experiences down the road golfing together, and I am excited for them!
Tyler has been very busy lately with lots of school work, and working full time. Karson misses him and always asks me " Daddy, work? oh yeah", and then when he hears the garage and Tyler coming home, he always wants to " hide" from him, it's funny, because Kaili would do the exact same thing, when she was Karsons age.

My Cute boys! I am so lucky to be surrounded by my sweet boys, and even luckier to have one watching over me from up above!
