HALLOWEEN IS APPROACHING......

Halloween is......

memories, I loved going trick or treating growing up! My mom would always take a HUGE group of us and we had such fun neighbors back in good ole WVC! It was always cold, but we loved it!

going back home and dividing up our candy into " sections" into our plastic baggies. Doing trades, with the stuff we didn't want, eating soup and bread sticks to warm us up, dreading going to sleep and having to go to school the next day

watching Abbott and Costello movies with my dad

watching my mom make a costume out of nothing, she is so talented at making Halloween costumes, wait until you see Bethanie's costume this year and my awesome 50's skirt my mom whipped out of nothing

Halloween parades and parties at school, the best! Kaili's school isn't letting them have a parade this year, what a bummer!

the smell of the air, leaves crunching beneath your feet, being with friends, being happy

I am looking forward to Saturday! Ty and I have never taken Kaili trick or treating before, it will be lots of fun. I don't know how long Karson will last, but I am excited any way! We have my mom and dads annual Hallween party tomorrow! Pictures will be up on Monday!

Hope you all have a HAPPY HAPPY HALLOWEEN WEEKEND!!!!!

Weekend Update

So Friday Karson and I drove up to pick up Kaili. We got her at 11:00 and headed back down. We ate lunch at Wendy's and went to the grocery store. In the car Kaili was in a chatting mood, she was talking to me about all kinds of things. I asked her what she wanted for Christmas and she said this: " Well the TV is showing me what I want for Christmas. They keep putting new toys on there for me to put on my list, so I just need to sit down and write out my list." I thought that was soo funny.
Any way when Tyler got home we went to dinner at Wingers. It only cost us $13 for all of us, because we had a buy one get one free coupon, and a free dessert coupon, so that was nice. After dinner we went to the pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins. We got home and Tyler carved one for Kaili. It was really big and it took him a long time to do it, but in the end it looks awesome. We listened to some music while carving the pumpkin and Karson was dancing all over the place. He loves to dance.

We had a LONG night that night as Kaili woke up like every 30 minutes and came into our bedroom. Saturday we were all a little on edge, because of lack of sleep. We got Cafe Rio for lunch and ate at home. Tyler and Kaili headed over to my parents house to watch the BYU game, and I brought Karson over after his nap. At my mom's house Karson threw up all over me. I wasn't sure why he did, but thought I should take him home. When we got home I was walking up the stairs and he threw up again, all over me, the floor, the wall, the stairs, the railing. And it was all Cafe Rio. I had given him some rice, beans and tortilla. Bad idea. Poor guy. I put him in his crib to try and clean everything up with some water, well he threw up all the water everywhere. I am not kidding when I say I think I did like 10 loads of laundry from Friday- Sunday. Any way he finally fell asleep around 9:00 and woke up around 1:30 in the morning, Ty and I were sitting with him in his room and he threw up more water.

I was worried, because I thought he had to be dehydrated for sure, we were up with him until 4:30 he was just crying and sooo tired, he didn't know what to do. At one point Ty and I were in the basement watching infomercials. Finally at 4:30 I decided to give him a bottle, I knew he was hungry and he drank that and fell asleep until 8:00. He hasn't thrown up since Saturday, so I think the Cafe Rio just didn't sit well with his tummy, poor guy!

Sunday morning Ty's parents came over to give the kids thier Halloween prizes since they will be gone Halloween weekend. Kaili had a blast playing her new card game with Grandma. Later thay day we went to my parents house and all of us kids provided a dinner for them to celebrate thier 30th Wedding Anniversary. We had haystacks, lime ricky's, and rootbeer floats for dessert. Ty and I are WIPED out from the weekend! Hopefully we can get some sleep this weekend!
This is Ty's fantastic pumpkin he carved for Kaili. Isn't it cool? He is so good at carving pumpkins. I could never do that!~ :)

A BYU Las Vegas Weekend!

So Friday afternoon we headed on down to St.George. We stopped at Wingers for lunch on the way. So Yummy. Our server wasn't so great, but it was still a good lunch. We got to St.George and met my parents and Roury for dinner at thier favorite place the Mongolian BBQ place. We wanted to try and see a movie, since we didn't have Karson, but we weren't able to get to one. So we Red Boxed The Knowing, it was kind of a wierd movie. Oh yeah we also of course stopped by Neilsons Frozen Custard for a yummy treat!
We got up Saturday morning and headed into Vegas. We were able to do a lot of things. We went to Circus Circus and went on some rides, then we headed over to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch, it is brand new and really nice. I had a really good Honey mustard chicken sandwich and Ty had a pulled pork sandwich that he loved. We then went to the M & M Factory and had fun looking around there.

This is Ty trying to hit on " Green" the M & M~
We went over to the New York New York and ran into my Uncle Doug and his wife Lori. Doug was so nice and offered to buy us some ice cream. We went to Ben and Jerry's and Ty and I shared a banana split, we got a scoop of this chocoalte peanut butter kind that was to DIE for! SO yummy! Then Doug gave us each $5 to play on the slots, we didn't win anything, but it was lots of fun to play for a little bit!
Then we headed off to the game. We made good time and headed over to the BYU tail gating party. Ty got some free popcorn and got his face painted. The game was fun and BYU kicked UNLV's behinds! Ty and Johnny had a lot of fun being right in the atmosphere of the game. I had fun too, we saw some pretty cool plays!

We didn't get back to St.George until 1:30 in the morning. Ty was a tropper and did a great job of driving us everywhere and making sure we didn't get lost, Thanks Babe!
Sunday we tried to sleep in a bit and then headed home around 12:00. It was a fun, fast weekend! Thanks Kay and Larry for watching Karson for us, and thanks mom and dad for letting us use the house!

New Hair

So yesterday I got my hair did! Bethanie cut and colored my hair, and I love it! I always worry about having bangs because I feel like I can't do them very well, but I was just sick of my hair being blah. I feel like I never have a style to it and now I do.
I love the reddish brown color, I think next time I might be brave and do 2 reds and 1 brown, instead of the other way, and yes it takes THREE bottles of hair color to color my whole head of hair! It's like a 31/2 hour process to do my hair!
Yay for new hair!

Friday October 2nd....busy...busy...busy

So Friday we had plans to hang out with Grandma Kay at Wee Witches Weekend at Gardner Village. I put the kids in thier cute Halloween shirts and we were ready to go.

All Karson wanted to do was stand by this fence and watch the water and the ducks in the river. Kaili had a TON of fun being spoiled by Grandma and doing all kinds of Halloween crafts. Karson got a spider balloon and loved it! We got there right when it opened, which was great, because by the time we left at about 12:00 it was packed!

Kaili making her cute Halloween purse with Grandma.

We went to the petting zoo at the very last. Karson LOVED it. He has NO fear of animals. He would walk up to them and just hit them on the back and even try to pull thier tails. Luckily all of the animals don't care, but it was just too funny! He didn't want to leave the petting zoo. Kaili just looked on, and wouldn't touch any of the animals. Thanks Grandma for the fun day!

Here is a close up of the cute bag she made.
Some of the fun crafts she was able to do. We got Panda Express on the way home and ate with Grandma at our house. Karson luckily went down for a nap and slept for about 3 hours. That night we had plans with Erika and Michael to watch the BYU game. Kaili was excited to play with thier daughter Kayleigh, as Kaili calls " Little Kayleigh" they of course had a blast together. We got some Papa Murphey's pizza and had a fun time together. We didn't get home until 11:00 that night.

Kaili and Kayleigh decorating some foam pumpkins, with Halloween stickers.

Karson playing with this Mickey Mouse toy he loved! What a busy but fun filled day!

Thursday October 1

Last week I worked Mon, Tues, Weds, because we had Kaili for Fall Break this year. I tried to have some fun things planned for her to do while she was here. Thursday we got her a library card. She thought that was pretty cool, as she is learning to read in school. She got 3 books and 1 DVD. My mom and Katie met us at the library, and then we headed to Fazolli's for lunch. Lunch was interesting as Karson was going on no morning nap. My mom offered to have Kaili come to her house for awhile so I could get Karson down for a nap. Kaili made the cute above pumpkin with my mom, Keith, and Kyle. Karson only slept for an hour.
That night I made homemade chicken noodle soup and Breadsticks and Kaili and Tyler decorated this foam haunted house. Kaili really liked this and it kept her busy for awhile.
