Being a mom is truly one of my greatest blessings. Am I perfect at it? Nope. Not one bit. But I sure do love my kids unconditionally. Karson is full of life and energy and sometimes that can get exhausting for a mom. But in the next moment, he is snuggling by me on the bed watching a show, or telling me about dinosaurs, or asking me questions, and I cherish those moments. I cherish the moments of " Mom, will you sing to me tonight?" Because I know that won't last forever. I relish in the toys all over the living room, because he was playing " minecraft dinosaur" and using his imagination. I love how he leaves his shoes all over the house, because I do that too.
Karson is a good soul, whenever he does something he knows is wrong, he instantly feels bad about it, not a day later, or an hour later, like a second later. He regrets his choices and what he did, and wants to make it better. Although Hudson drives him crazy, never once have I heard Karson tell Hudson he can't play with Karson or his friends, he loves to have sleepovers with Hudson in the family room and he loves to teach and tell Hudson about things.
This little baby of mine was sent down to me at a time when I needed him most. He was a healing tool for me as well as a lovely addition to my family. I would bring him to work with me and he would just sit contently in his pack n play and play for hours, and take naps in my office. He knew what his mama needed and he was it.
Karson, I am so thankful for you. For the boy that you are and the man you will become. Thank you for loving me even with all of my imperfections! First grade here we come!
