Ty's Graduation Day

So May 7 has been a long time coming! For a long time Ty wasn't even sure if he would ever go and get a Bachelor's Degree, but he did and it was such an accomplishment for him! It was a really nice graduation ceremony and I was so proud when I saw Ty walk across the stage. After graduation we went to Tucano's at Gateway for lunch! I surprised Ty with an over night stay at the Homestead plus 2 rounds of 18 hole golf, I got this whole package on city deals for $79! We are going to go up with some good friends of ours this summer so should be lots of fun!

My 29th Birthday!

My birthday was on a Sunday this year, but it was still really nice! Tyler surprised me with all my gifts this year and did a great job! He got me some perfume, the newest Mary Higgins Clark Book, the new Harry Potter DVD, a cupcake travel holder and a bacon thing that you put in the microwave when you cook bacon to get all the grease off! I loved every single gift! My parents gave me some new clothes and a shelf for my bathroom, Kay and Larry gave me $50 and a cookbook and took us to Red Lobster where I stuffed myself silly with shrimp! My siblings gave me a gift card to Old Navy, Nordstrom Rack and Barnes and Noble! We had yummy strawberry shortcake for my birthday dessert!

Later that week Ty and I went and saw THOR and ate at Red Robin, because I had a free coupon for a free gourmet burger. I got the mushroom swiss burger which was pretty good, but as usual our service was horrible at Red Robin! We can never seem to get great service there, oh well, it was fun to spend some alone time together!

I can't believe that next year I will be the BIG 30!!! AHHH! I was happy to share my birthday with Hudsons blessing day it made it very nice!

Hudson Baby Blessing

So you know how you have in your head that you are going to get all these great pictures during special events in your childs life? And then it just doesn't happen that way, that is how it happened for Hudson's blessing, I hardly got any good pictures of him in his cute little outfit. And Karson was matching him but wouldn't cooperate for a picture! We blessed him on my 29th birthday which was special for me! Ty did a great job and both our familes came to support us! Thanks guys!

Ty did a great job with the blessing! We had a lunch in my parents brand new finished basement, we had lasagna, salads, fruit and yummy brownies! Thanks to Kay and Larry, Mom and Dad and Rylee and Katie who helped me with the food! It all turned out great!

This is my Dad's mom my Grandma Lorraine McDermott! She is my last living Grandparent! It was nice to have her there with us for the blessing!

Aunt Fernanda who is currently pregnant and due in December! She is really hoping for a girl! :)

I Love Cookbooks!

So for my birthday/Mothers Day I got 4 new cookbooks this year! Ty got me the above Cupcake Heaven and Eva's Kitchen for Mothers Day. I saw Eva promotingher book on Rachael Ray and it sounded like one I would really like! I wish I had more time to just sit and look through all my cook books, but I try to squeeze it in when I can and mark the pages of stuff I want to make!

Kay gave all the girls the Lion House Baking one for Mothers day and I got the cookie one for my birthday from Kay! SO excited to dig into all these new books! Love it!

Lady Bug Baby Shower

I was in charge of a baby shower for Ty's cousin Jessica, she is having a little girl. I decided to accent it with lady bugs.I made two kinds of cupcakes, these chocolate cream cheese ones were a HIT and there were ZERO left!

I had different glass jars full of gummy bears. The colors matched the shower theme...

There were white lemon cupcakes, they weren't as " lemony" as I had hoped, but they were very moist! I made those little lady bug picks for the cupcakes

I made this banner that said " Snug as a bug in a rug" I thought it turned out SUPER cute and was lots of fun to make!

Rain, rain go away..little Karson wants to play...

Poor Karson has had more of his TBall games cancelled than he has played. He get so excited to go and play and then due to the lovely rain they are all being cancelled. I am hoping for this weather to warm up next week so he can actually get some fun playing time in!

He is so cute and loves to run " fast all the way around" as he says. He is already talking about playing soccer so I think we will put him in a fall soccer league, heck it will probably stay in the 80s until October any way since we have had such a cold spring!

Hudson Ty Fankhauser

So we finally got to announce this cute little guys name yesterday! We blessed him on my 29th birthday and it was a great day! Hudson Ty it is! And yes thier is an Atlanta Braves Baseball pitcher named Tim Hudson,but Iliked the name Hudson any way so it just worked out!

We love him SOOO much, although we wish he would sleep a tad bit better, I am still running on a bout 2 to 3 hours of sleep a night, truly I am. But hopefully we will get past this stage soon! :)
