Today is just one of those typical "work" mondays. You know the kind, the kind that all you get are annoying phone call, after phone call after phone call. These are HONESTLY my conversations today at work or things that have happened.
#1. This woman calls and she is very angry. She indicates to me that her husband doesn't love her any more and she needs her own insurance. OK. what am I supposed to say to that? To someone I barely know. " I am sorry" seems a little inadequate, yet you don't want to seem insensitive.
#2. This guy wants his wife on his insurance. One hour later, oh wait no he doesn't take her off. One hour later, oh wait yes he does, put her back on. One hour later, ok they are now going through a divorce because his wife is on prozac and is crazy and we need her off the insurance....right cause that is a good idea to take a crazy person off of insurance while going through a divorce.
#3. Owner of a company's son gets married in Vegas on 11/18/08 has a fake wedding in Utah on 1/16/09 I need a copy of marriage cert, insurance company says he can come one back to date of marriage, I tell dad/owner he has to pay back premium, he is mad, wants to know why, uh because wedding date is over two months ago. Dad says no it's not they were married on 1/16/09 I say uh no marriage license shows 11/18/08, Dad makes a call, finds out son was legally married in Vegas behind his back, had a FAKE wedding in Utah two months later. Ha! Random and funny and dad/owner found this out all because of me and insurance issues.
#4. You know those clients or certain people that always call you. You know the sound of thier voice, you know there is going to be a problem. Yeah I have one of those ladies. Will call her Wanda. Wanda doesn't listen to a word I say. She lives in la la land, she always thinks she has cancer, or is going to die ( I am serious) and always wants my random advice about insurance. So fun.
#5. "Why don't I have my ID card yet? Why? I need it. I need to go to the Dr." And I want to say this: " Why is it that you have a February 1, effective date, but you felt the need to send in your paperwork on January 28, and you feel it neccessary that you should have an ID card the next day? Why do you think I am magic, and can make anything happen to benefit you? Just wondering WHY you feel that way?"
Yup that is how my day is going! Got to love Mondays!

Wow. That fake wedding story is funny!
I love the fake wedding story, too! Hilarious!
How stressful!
Yep. Just that. Gotta LOVE Mondays! The experiences you had today actually gave me a good laugh. You're laughing now, aren't you?
Oh the joys of what we do! You have to laugh about it or makes you want to cry. Yesterday, I seriously had to listen to a lady tell me about the arthritis in her hand for 20 minutes. And now she has to write with her right because the arthritis is so bad in her left hand, but she's left handed, but no one can tell because she is so good at writing with her right hand. I was like, seriously, you want to talk about this for 20 minutes! Always remember that my bowl of Swedish Fish is here for you any time you need it! Love ya, BreeAnn!
