Well I had my 34 week and a half check up yesterday, and after waiting ONE hour and FORTY FIVE minutes to see the Dr, all is well. My appointment was at 12:10 I got there at 11:55 and I did not see the Dr. until about 1:45, I had not eaten lunch so I was STARVING and getting more and more upset by the minute. She was just running behind that day, but it would have been nice if someone could have told me that. I was so hungry I wanted to cry! So the good news is I only gained 1 pound. For the past 6 weeks I have been maintaining my weight very well and I am very proud of myself that I am not letting myself go during these last couple of weeks! I am starting to swell a little bit with water weight though, I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring for a couple of weeks. The babies heart beat was good, and he is growing very well and I can tell because he is running out of room inside my belly.It is very hard for me to sit and work at my desk all day, because of all the pressure inside. Once agian it is ALL worth it, but that is the update for now.
My next appointment will be on June 19 where they will do the strep culture, then I go in on June 26 (37 weeks) and July 3 (38 weeks) and then we didn't schedule another apppointment because that next week is when I will most likely be having the baby! Wow! I can't believe it is almost here, it seems like I waited forever, but now that it is upon me, I am getting a little nervous, about delivery, about wondering if I will be able to tell what he needs, about breast feeding, about pumping when I have to go back to work and the new schedule that we will have. I am sure everything will work out, but it is a lot to take in.
I have a baby shower tomorrow and I am SO excited! My cousin Amber has worked really hard on this and all of my McDermott aunts, and I feel so lucky and blessed to have them as part of my family, so in advance, thanks ladie! I am sure I will have lots of things to post on Monday from over the weekend! Tyler gets to golf in a golf tournament tomorrow whiel I am at the shower, so he is feeling quite happy!

Don't you hate that long wait? But at least you know its cuz she is good and it's well worth the wait for a good dr. I would always ask the receptionist if it was going to be long if I could run across the street to the bagel place and I'd get me a snack, then the wait wasn't so bad! So I will be in town that week, but I only work weekends! And my mom actually went to IMC, so she won't be there. We have really great nurses though, you will be well taken care of. :)
Yay! I can't believe how close you are. Can't wait to see the new little guy.
I'm glad you finally got to see the doc and everything is well. I got nervous too, I think that's totally normal! You will get it all figured out in time. I feel so ahead of schedule today since I talked to you already and knew you had a baby shower. :-)

Yay for being almost done! Don't worry too much about all that stuff. You will just naturally do what you need to do. You will be a great mom!
