Happy Fathers Day Ty!

So Since this weekend is Fathers Day I wanted to post a little something about Tyler. He might get embarressed but oh well, that is what blogs are for right? :) Tyler is a great dad. No, he is a fabulous dad. He and Kaili have an undeniable bond. He is so strong. I don't know how he does it sometimes, but he does. He is responsible, and loving and caring, and trys to do all that he can to teach Kaili and help her to become a good person. After he and his ex-wife split up and he would get Kaili on weekends, he would bathe her and comb her hair and dress her and change her diapers and feed her, and put her to bed. She would sleep on his chest. She was only 13 months old at the time. He had the help of his family, but still he was mostly on his own.

I remember a couple of times, when we first started hanging out when he had to give Kaili back to his ex-wife and even at that young of an age, she would scream and cry and reach out to her dad. Talk about pulling your heart out and feeling like someone is stomping on it. It would KILL me to see that, and it would kill Tyler even more. It makes me cry just thinking about it. But somehow, someway he would deal with it. He is one of the strongest people that I know. He and Kaili have developed a wonderful relationship and even though he isn't with her every day, she knows how much her Dad loves her, and this a gift she will always have.

When Easton passed away I know Tyler was trying so hard to be strong for me, because I was a mess, but I also know that he lost his son as well. I know Tyler will do everything in his power to live the way he should so he can see his son again.

I can't wait to see him be a father to this child, I know he will be great and I know I will be able to learn a lot from him. I am so proud of the man that Tyler is and the strength that he has in dealing with what has come his way through out his life. I wrote this poem about Tyler and I wanted to put it on here, it is kind of personal, but I thought what the heck, it's for Fathers Day!

In her daddies deep blue eyes
There is sadness to his joy
In his daddies heart
There is a piece that will always ache for him
In his daddies hands
There is a place for this one to be held

In her husbands soul
She knows his pain
And there is nothing she can do to fix it

He goes on every day and does what needs to be done
But nothing can change the fact
That every day, he can’t see his first born, his little one

She lights up his face, and has a hold of his heart
He has accepted the path that his life has taken
And he is happy, but she is always on his mind
Is she ok? Is she smiling? Does she know how much he loves her?

His second child, his first son,
He often thinks the same,
Does he know how much he is loved?
And how much his dad misses him?

The answer to these questions
That is often sad to ask
Is yes.

They know it in the way he prays for them each day
She knows it in the way he reads her stories, and plays Old Maid
She knows it in the way he hugs her very tight
She knows it in the way he dreams of her each and every night.
He knows it in the way that his dad will live his life
To make sure that when his time down here is through
He will be able to see him, his precious perfect son

His wife knows the strength it takes
To sometimes make it through a day
For this man to swallow his pride
And let someone else help him raise his little girl along the way
It is a sacrifice but he wants what is best for her
And many years down the road, she will thank her daddy for that.

On her daddies tear stained face
There are tears of joy
Because although he cannot see her all the time
They have a bond that can’t be broke
On his daddies bruised but healing heart
There is hope, knowledge of forever
And for this new one, a blessing from afar
He can’t wait to meet his dad
And feel his loving arms

So to this man, who has dealt with much
Who is a survivor of it all
We want to say we all love you
And thank you for loving us too
