Baby Weight....

I haven't mentioned much about weight on here, because weight is one of those topics, that just never goes away. We are always thinking about our weight, over analyzing our weight, going over and over in our heads, what we are yesterday, what we will eat today, what should we buy at the store. When did we work out last? Will we work out today? For those of you who truly, honestly don't worry about this stuff, then thumbs up to you.

In January I decided to join weight watchers. I felt like I just needed to do something, anything. I have lost 9.4 pounds in about 10 weeks, so almost a pound a week. Of course that is not technically true, because for two weeks I didn't lose anything, and then the next week I lost like 2.6 or whatever. But any way they say the point of the program is to lose about 1 pound a week. I would like to lose at least 20 more pounds and then if I can maintain around that number I would be happy. I know I will never look like I did in High School and that is because, I hardly ate, I worked out ALL the time, and I hadn't had a baby yet.

Unless you are RICH and can " fix" your body after kids, all of us who have had babies know that your body is never TRULY the same after. I have now officialy lost ALL of the weight I gained while I was pregnant with Karson, and I now weigh less than I did after I had Easton. Does that make sense? See with Easton I gained 17 pounds, lost 4 of that before I got pregnant with Karson, so now I have 13 pounds of Easton Baby weight to get off of me, and then 7 more after that would be great. By my birthday May 1 I hope to be down at least 15 pounds which I think I can do. I will let you know. :0)

Any way for me weight is always a struggle. I love food, I love treats, and when I was 16 I was willing to give those up, ten years later at 26, not so much. What is the point of life, if you deprive yourself of things you love? It's all about moderation, and not letting yourself become obsessed. It's a struggle for me that I have to work on every day! It's a slow process this losing weight, maintaining weight crap, but it's just a part of life! So any way for any of you who feel the same way as me, don't give up and just take it one day at a time! We are all different, and we just have to accept that. Love ya!

Love this post - well said! I joined WW after I had Lauren and I was soooo surprised at how well it worked. In 9 months I lost 3.1 lbs and made my goal. I refuse to deprive myself, either - I never want to feel like I'm "dieting", and I think WW shows you how to do that. I'm trying it on my own this time, and it's a little harder, but it's still working. It's just harder in general now that I'm home all the time and no one else sees what I eat. But let me just say, that the longer you stick to it, the easier it gets, use the weight you've lost be your motivation to lose more, and constantly try and find recipes that will help you. That's my advice - and woo hoo for what you've lost so far!!!! This is good inspiration for me to do better!

For some reason I put a decimal in my comment - I didn't lose 3.1 lbs, I lost 31 - 3.1 wouldn't be very impressive, now would it???

I hate there is so much pressure to lose the weight. If your baby is 2 months old, you better be 5 lbs thinner than when you got pregnant. I am having a tough time also trying to lose, but at least we have supportive family and friends to help us.

That is awesome! I still haven't even started exercising since I had Remington...it's hard to find the time! Hopefully I can get inspired soon. And NO ONE looks like they did in high school! Don't you wish we had a scheduled gym class we had to go to now...those were the days!

COngrats on losing that weight! Hooray for you! And it's so funny, as I read that post about you and Lance, I remember on your wedding day, all of us feeling sad for you. I feel bad you could sense that from us, but we wanted you to be happy. I LOVE that your story took a turn for the best, we love Tyler! And oh boy, hope Karson's burn heals soon. I remember feeling HORRIBLE the day Kayleigh chipped her teeth, sometimes it just happens and there isn't anything you can do about it! Can't wait for the party next week!
