LAGOON! That's what FUN is!

So this past Saturday we were GENEROUSLY treated by my parents with a trip to Lagoon! Karson has been looking forward to going on the "Choo Choo" for awhile now. We went on it 3 times! I tried to get a picture of them at the front of the park, but Kars was to excited to look at me and smile. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather and it wasn't busy at all, the longest we had to wait in line was on the new ride the Oddysea, which was actually pretty fun!
I think this picture is funny because Karson and Ty have the same look on thier face! This was our first ride of the day, the train!
On the Merry-Go-Round!
Kaili was so brave this year and went on the " big "swings with her Dad, she went on them twice! She also loved the kid version of the Tidal Wave, she and Ty went on that one like 4 times I think.

Karson loved the cars, and went on this ride 3 or 4 times, Kaili thought it was boring, but Karson loves cars.
I think this ride made Karson a little sick, because he was going backwards, towards the end of the ride, he didn't look too great. He also went on the little kid swings and wasn't too sure about those. He did really good though, and didn't cry at all, he sometimes just had a concerned look on his face.

Now this is too funny! Towards the end of the day we were walking by the games. Karson would see balls everywhere and want to throw them, all the game people let him throw the balls for free, he was loving it! Well we decided to pay $1 for this game, and Karson picked up a bing bag and threw it and knocked all the bottles off the platform and WON! He was so cute, he lifted up both of his arms and hands and was like " yeah" the workers couldn't believe it! He won himself a fish!
This is the game he won, all by his two year old self!

Kaili also won at a game all by herself! Kaili loves to play tic-tac-toe with Ty and they had this game that was like tic-tac-toe, Kaili won that cute dog that she named " rainbow"
The game that Kaili won! It was SO much fun watching the kids enjoy themselves and I am so glad we were able to go! Thanks Mom and Dad!

Kay's Birthday Dinner!

Tyler's mom turned 50 on Septembr 13th. I wanted to try and do something for her with all of the kids, instead of us just going over to thier house so they could make dinner for US on HER birthday, ( even though they did that anyway on Sunday too) So I planned a family dinner at one of Kay's favorite mexican places. Everyone was able to make it except Chalese, because she had committments up at school that she couldn't miss. Karson was a terror at dinner, but the food was good, and it was fun to have everyone there!
After dinner I had planned on going back to thier house to hang out and have dessert! Kay and Larry love dark chocolate so I searched for a good dark chocolate cupcake recipe, and found one. It was VERY rich, the frosting included, sour cream, cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, dark chocoalte baking bars, milk, etc. It was good, but next time I dont' think I would use the sour cream. Everyone seemed to like them, even though they didn't turn out as good as I had hoped. Nick and Amanda brought some ice cream and we enjoyed dessert!

I made these little flags for the cucpakes, nothing fancy just a little something to add to them. I have known Kay technically for about 9 years, from when I started writing Tyler. One thing I have always admired about her is that she NEVER stops, she is like the energizer bunny. She just goes, goes, goes. She is always helping others, baking bread or her famous mint brownies for someone, doing things for her kids, or her young women, she rarely takes time out for herself. She always tries to have a positive attitude and she is a good example to me with that. She has done so much for me over the years and I appreciate it very much. So I know this is a bit late, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAY!

Family Update

Tyler- Tyler is busy, busy, busy this fall. He has been playing in a softball leauge with some of his family, my family and friends. They are called Mac's Giants ( my dad offered to sponsor the team and bought everyone matching shirts. Mac is his nickname in sports, and Giants is his favorite baseball team). They have been doing awesome! They are 5-1. Next week they play thier last 2 games. It has been fun going and watching Tyler do something that he enjoys! Karson loves to go and watch, except I think he wishes he could be playing to. Tyler is still mowing my parents lawn once a week and then goes to school once a week as well. He is in his final accounting classes, and we are counting down the days until he is done! He squeezes in homework whenever he can, and still supports his cougars, even though they are having a tough year so far. :)

BreeAnn- I am keeping busy with work, running to Dr,'s appointments, spending time with Karson, cleaning the house, going grocery shopping, doing laundry and everything else in between. I have already had 2 ultrasounds this pregnancy, and I am only 11 weeks along. I thought I was further along then I was, and found out at my first ultrasound I was mistaken. I had another Dr. appointment yesterday and my Dr. couldn't hear the heartbeat so we got to do an ultrasound, and saw the cute little arms, legs, and heartbeat and the baby doing flips. In a couple of weeks I do another ultrasound at IMC for some testing and then the next week I go back to my Dr. to get set up on my once a week shots that Tyler has to give me! He is not excited about doing this again, but he does a pretty good job. Ha ha I say "pretty good" because there were a few mishaps last time, but not too many. I have started on my Christmas shopping and am about half way done with the kids, minus stocking stuff. :) I want to finish up some scrapbooking but don't really know when I will have the time for that.

Kaili Dee- Kaili is in first grade and loves it! She doesn't like getting up early but other than that she is enjoying school. She is in dance class right now and says that it is " too short" so I am assuming she means she wishes it was a longer class time. Kaili wants me to have a girl so bad so that she can have a little sister. Kaili loves to play school, wear make up, make crafts and do all kinds of girly things. She is growing up so fast!

Karson Maddux- Karson is very into " choo choo" trains right now, and loves playing with his cars as well. Don't get me wrong he of course still loves all and anything associated with ball and sports, but he has other interests too. He is taking an interest in coloring, but only for a little bit and always asks me to draw him a baseball or basketball or any ball of some sort. Karson loves farmyard animals and claims he wants to be a "moo" for Halloween, but when I find a costume to try on him, he does not like it at all, and wants it off, so I am not sure what we will do about that. He is saying lots of new words, and keeps me on my toes!

In General- September has been a rough month for us, as I have posted previously. Since that post our storage room flooded just last Friday and we had to clean everything out of the storage room, and get a new part for our leaky pipe. Luckily Tyler's dad is an excellent plumber and was able to help us out! Tyler's mom and our sis-in-law Shy came over and helped me on Friday as well to get some things cleaned up. It was a crazy weekend, but I think we have everything squared away and hopefully we will have a quiet winter with no problems! I am looking forward to October as that is one of my favorite months in the year!

September has been a crazy month for us! To start off the month Tyler's eye glasses broke right in half! So he had to go in for another prescrption and new glasses and lenses. This ran us at $255. We had just paid $209 for Tyler's car renewal. My car renewal is this month, which is another fabulous $209. We took our car in last weekend for safety and emissions and were told we needed all 4 tires replaced. $300 later. In August our basement flooded for the 3rd time. We have been trying to get our HOA board to pay for the flood repairs, since they did last year and they are refusing! This Friday we have to fix our carpet and pay another $200 out of our pocket! When things like this happen it can get quite depressing and frustrating! However, I am thankful that we have savings that can help with things such as this, and even though at times it seems like I can't take ONE more thing going wrong, I realize I have so many blessings and things to be thankful for, and I try to look at the positive side of things. I have a good life, with a wonderful husband who loves me, 2 great kids, with another one on the way, great family and friends, and I am thankful for that!

Labor Day Weekend: Fish Lake

We went to Fish Lake over Labor Day. We had never been there before and had always wanted to go. My parent's friends own the Bowery Haven Resort at Fish Lake and so we thought we should make it down there to see them. We left on Friday at about 3:30 and man was traffic KILLER! It was insane! We finally arrived around 8:30 pm and got settled in. Tyler's Parents, his sister Megan, his brother Matt and his wife Shy and thier daughter Emeri went as well as my parents and us. Saturday morning we woke to a gorgeous day and headed out on the boat.

Kaili was unsure at first but then she loved it. Karson loved it the whole time and had no fear of the water or anything, I was more paranoid then he was that he was going to fall out! He had a blast chowing down on some swedish fish and cheesy pringles, his favorite!

We played lots of games, ran around outside, ate some delicious food and had a good time hanging out with one another.

Kaili and Karson had to take turns with Papa so that they could " drive " the boat!

Aunt Meggie was so good with all of the little kiddos. They just love her!

We had a busy end of summer, and I am glad it is starting to turn into fall!

Baby,Baby,Baby....

Karson is the cutest lately! He says baby all the time and pats his belly and then points to me and says " no mama, baby" he is obsessed with hauling around some of Kaili's baby dolls. You can see in this picture he has a burp cloth on his shoulder. It would fall off about every 10 seconds and he would demand I put it back on his shoulder. He also stole an empty container that used to have baby food in it, a baby spoon, poured m & m's in the container and pretended to feed the baby while loading his mouth with the m & m's. I just love this kid!

We got some family pictures taken down in St.George with my whole family and they did some individual ones of each family as well. I really like the first one of our family.
