Kay's Birthday Dinner!

Tyler's mom turned 50 on Septembr 13th. I wanted to try and do something for her with all of the kids, instead of us just going over to thier house so they could make dinner for US on HER birthday, ( even though they did that anyway on Sunday too) So I planned a family dinner at one of Kay's favorite mexican places. Everyone was able to make it except Chalese, because she had committments up at school that she couldn't miss. Karson was a terror at dinner, but the food was good, and it was fun to have everyone there!
After dinner I had planned on going back to thier house to hang out and have dessert! Kay and Larry love dark chocolate so I searched for a good dark chocolate cupcake recipe, and found one. It was VERY rich, the frosting included, sour cream, cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, dark chocoalte baking bars, milk, etc. It was good, but next time I dont' think I would use the sour cream. Everyone seemed to like them, even though they didn't turn out as good as I had hoped. Nick and Amanda brought some ice cream and we enjoyed dessert!

I made these little flags for the cucpakes, nothing fancy just a little something to add to them. I have known Kay technically for about 9 years, from when I started writing Tyler. One thing I have always admired about her is that she NEVER stops, she is like the energizer bunny. She just goes, goes, goes. She is always helping others, baking bread or her famous mint brownies for someone, doing things for her kids, or her young women, she rarely takes time out for herself. She always tries to have a positive attitude and she is a good example to me with that. She has done so much for me over the years and I appreciate it very much. So I know this is a bit late, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAY!

You are always so kind to me. Although I didn't deserve this, it sure made my day! ...and of course, you know me well enough to know that now I can't stop crying since it warmed my heart so much! I love you to pieces!
