So I ran an errand today with my little brother to Barnes & Noble. I love that place. If I could I would spend a whole day there, looking at books, reading books, just taking the whole atmosphere in. I always see different kinds of books and I tell myself that I will read them and I don't. Maybe one day I will get around to that.
Growing up I loved the Little House on the Prarie Books and The Babysitter Club Books. Those books got my imagination running wild, and I always wished I could have my own babysitter club, but that never happened! I thought Mallory, Dawn, Claudia and Mary Ann were so cool, I think I am missing one of the members, oh is it Jessie maybe? I can't believe I remembered all of those names. Any way I loved reading those books. They were so creative, and I envied those girls so much, even though they weren't real.
In Jr. High my mom got me to read The Work and The Glory series, and I LOVE those books. I have read them all twice, and I am thinking I need to start over again soon.
I am a scardy cat when it comes to scary movies, but for some reason I can read intense mystery novels. I Love Mary Higgens Clark and I have read all of her books, some a couple of times. Sometimes I dream about the story line, but I love trying to figure out the mystery, it puts my thinking skills to work.
My brothers once made me read Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card, and I ended up reading other books that go along with Edner's Game and I really like those books as well.
I also gave in to the Harry Potter series, and I am glad that I did.
I like Jane Eyre it is sort of a creepy book in it's own right, but I like it, and of course Little Women. (I need that movie)
I know there are so many fabulous books out there that I haven't read yet, I wish I could read them all. I enjoy history books, and fun pointless books too!
Yay for books!

It's Kristy, Claudia, Mary Ann, Stacie, Dawn, Mallory, and Jessi, the associate members are Shannon and Logan :) and it's pathetic that I still know that...lol...I love Mary Higgins Clark, too; she's one of my favorites! It sounds like we have a lot in common when it comes to our book tastes! :)
I love reading! and like you, I could spend all day in Barnes and Noble and not feel one bit bad about it!
I, as you already know, also LOVE LOVE LOVE books!! Fun post! Even though I didn't really read any of those books you listed except Harry Potter, Jane Eyre, and Orson Scott Card.
hyperlinking is super easy. I will show you in St. George how to do it!
I'm super excited for our weekend together!!! YAY!
Me too. That is my favorite store to go in. That's why I've said in the past if Doug gave me the option of jewelry as a gift or books I would always choose books.
I like mystery and thrilling books too and I can't handle violence and scariness in movie as well. It's wierd. I think it's because reading it and seeing are such different senses.
Hey you! I love nothing more than finding a good book that I can't put down! On the way to Maui, I bought THE KITE RUNNER in the airport. I had seen it and heard about it, but never read it. It was awesome! If you haven't read it, I would highly recommend it! Great story line!! Awesome ending!
Jane Eyre was a really good book. It sort of reminded me of Wuthering Heights with the dark love story theme. I am glad you read the Harry Potter books....I loved them. Maybe someday when our lives slow down again we will have time to read. But really our darling little boys beat a good book any day :)
I love reading too! Book stores are like Heaven to me : ) Barnes & Noble = pure bliss! Yeah for the babysitters club but the boxcart children is where its at!
i actually still have all of my babysitter club books, i loved them! there was a group of six of us in elementary that thought we could do stuff like that. we called ourselves "peacer peacer" ummmm, dorky? but anyway, it was me, tiffany, danie, missy and 2 other gals!
I love reading too! I am actually a newcomer to Barnes and Noble but I love it! I love to buy Emma books there. I always thought it was so expensive, but it really isn't. And I totally forgot about the babysitter's club books! I used to read those too!
