After two years of saving our cold hard cash, we went on our much anticipated trip to California Adventure, Disneyland, and Sea World! My parents came along with us to help us out, and boy were they a BIG help! We had so much fun, the kids were great, and it was so fabulous to watch them experience everything.
The park was open from 10 to 8 on Monday, so knowing me we got there oh about an hour earlier, but it wasn't too bad at all. Tyler and my mom stood in the fast pass line for Radiator Springs first thing so we wouldn't miss out on riding the ride. Tyler, Kaili, Karson and I walked right through the fast pass line and when we got up to our turn, the ride broke down! :( We then had to wait 45 minutes to ride the ride! It was really fun though and is about 4 minutes, you have to be 40 inches to ride it. Karson loved it until the racing part, you do go pretty fast, but he didn't cry and it was fun!
Monsters Inc was a hit with all the kids including Hudson. He loved it! He would point at everything and say "oooohhhh and aahhhh" He didn't cry once on any ride. Infact today at home, he saw our Monsters Inc movie and wanted to watch it and was laughing his head off at the movie, it was the cutest thing!
Kail and Karson brought thier autograph books and were excited to meet all the charachters. Toy Story was a big hit as well as The Little Mermaid ride which never had a line. We walked right on that ride and the kids loved that one as well. We stayed and watched The World of Color show which is pretty awesome, but the kids had a hard time waiting an hour for it to start, in such cramped quarters, we ended up leaving it a bit early. But it really is a great show! We played some games, ate popcorn, and ice cream and had a blast our first day there !:)

Five years have come...and gone..since we met you...
So as a lot of you know July 10, 2007 is the day our sweet baby Easton was born. I can't believe it has almost been 5 years since we experienced our loss. We have learned a lot in the past five years. We have learned to heal, but to never forget. We have learned that we can't and don't grieve the same way and that, that is OK. We have learned not to ask that awful question of WHY US? WHY ME? WHY HIM? Because no matter how hard we ask, we will never have the answer we want to hear.
I remember exactly the day that Easton was born. I remember every detail, every word that was said, by the horrible nurse I had. Every moment of panic, fear, and pain.. I remember watching him return back to our Heavenly Father and how peaceful and heartbreaking it was at the same time. I remember a pain in the back of my throat that throbbed for about two months straight. I remember the first time I truly, truly smiled and laughed after the whole experience. I remember finding out when I was pregnant again and feeling happy, and also feeling guilty about being happy. Would this baby take the place of Easton? Would I forget about him? I remember rocking in the rocking chair, holding a teddy bear and refusing to open the closet doors to look at all the clothes I had bought for my sweet baby, that was no longer with me. I remember one day being pregnant, and in an instant NOT being pregnant.
I remember waking up the day of the graveside service realizing that, in fact my milk had come in and I was in so much pain.I remember thinking how UNFAIR it was that, this was happening to me. I remember emotions being all over the place, Tyler and I not sure how to deal with each other's loss as a couple. I remember words like " He is in a better place." or " It was meant to be" , or " After the funeral it will get easier." I wanted to SCREAM at these words, because all the words in the world couldn't take away my anguish, the emptiness I felt, the despair, the fear. I wrote a poem once that says " only time can heal a broken heart" I will live by that motto forever, because it's true. Time can help heal, but time does not make you forget. And I don't want to forget any way. Some people may not understand, or think my feelings are valid. But I LOVE Easton as if he was here right now on this earth with me.He is MY son, and I will see him again. I will get to know his quirks, what he likes, what he thinks and who he is. In my heart of hearts, I feel like he is our peacemaker child. The one who is the keeper of the calm.

I miss him every day that I am awake and breathing. I dream of him sometimes and wake up in a panic or a cold sweat. I see a preemie on TV and I start to bawl, Tyler takes me in his arms and doesn't say a word. He knows I don't want words, I just want silence while I let my tears subside. I am happy. I have beautiful kids. But I also have a beautiful child not here with me. Every year the first few weeks of July are hard. We get through them. But they are hard. 5 years is usually a big birthday party and it makes me sad I can't celebrate with Easton, here right now. But one day I will.
I love you Easton, every day, every hour, every minute of my life. You are never forgotten and for now you live inside my heart.

Happy Birthday Hudson!!!!
My sweet baby boy turns 1 year old today! I can't believe where the time has gone! I know parents always say that, but it is so completely true!
Hudson came out screaming and full of fire, and he has been that way ever since. He is the biggest sweetheart and best cuddler, but he also knows what he wants and when he wants it. He is tough and fiesty. Hudson loves Kaili and Karson so much and follows them wherever they go. He has decided he no longer wants baby food, and can now eat, wheat bread, grapes, bananas, yogurt, cereal and suckers. He taught himself to crawl down the stairs just a few days ago, and he is on the verge of walking!

He has brought so much joy to our family and Karson calls him his best friend, it's so cute when Karson will try to comfort Hudson when he is upset, it is those moments that makes being a mom the best thing in the world.

I love this picture because Hudson always sits with his little feet crossed and it is the cutest thing ever!
Hudson loves anything to do with sports, balls etc just like his big brother, he carries a golf club with him at all times and will look for anything he can hit with it, he loves toothbrushes, strawberry flavored anything, he loves to play with cars and will push them around all over the floors, he loves to climb up the stairs and to look at books with mom!Monday, March 26, 2012
Kaili Baptism March 24, 2012
I love this picture because we hardly ever have a picture of our cute little family all together! I am so blessed to have these people in my life! And I know Easton was there in spirit with us. So a couple of Saturdays ago, we headed up to Brigham City for Kaili's baptism. The kids slept on the way up and the weather was perfect. We were able to have our own program because Kaili had 4 families attending her baptism. It was at 12:00, we had a little set back as Kaili was getting ready to go into the font. She is very scared of water and I think she had it set in her mind that as soon as she walked into the water it would go right over her head. After some convincing I was able to get her to stop onto the steps and look into the big mirror. She calmed down and we were able to proceed.
Tyler did a great job with the confirmation blessing. It's hard to believe I have known and had Kaili in my life for 7 years. Her brothers lover her so much and she is such a helpful sister. Kaili has always been surrounded by so many people that love her, at times I think she feels overwhelmed, but for the most part she adjusts great. She has close relationships with her grandparents, cousins and families, and she is a huge part of our family, no matter the distance.Tuesday, February 28, 2012
Presidents Day Weekend-Las Vegas
Presidents Day weekend we drove down to Las Vegas to see Ty's sister play softball with the U. It was a lot of fun and it was great to be with family. The above picture is of our cute niece Adddie!
Karson and I at the park by the fields. Karson and Hudson did pretty good, Karson got tired of sitting after awhile and would want to play, Hudson got tired of being in the stroller or being held, he just wanted to crawl around. Luckily I cam prepared with treats, suckers imparticular, and toys and the kids did well.
