Busy Rainy Weekend

Thursday night we went up to get Kaili because she was supposed to have her first Tee Ball game, unfortunately it got cancelled. We grabbed a quick dinner at Wingers, and headed home. Kaili was so excited that Tyler had bought her a baseball glove and pink ball, she kept calling it a "mitten" it was so cute and she kept wanting to play catch with Ty.
Friday morning I took Kaili and Karson to Costco to order a birthday cake for Karson for his "friend"party on Monday. Then I decided to be brave and take both of them to Sweet Tomatoes by myself. Kaili was starving, and we were by there, so I just did it. It workd out ok. Karson wanted me to feed him constantly and didn't want me to leave his sight, but we made it through. Karson took a nap and Kaili and I wrapped up his birthday presents. After he woke up we played outside for a bit, however all Karson wants to do is climb up and down my cement porch stairs, which makes me quite nervous.

Saturday brought lots of rain. We did some house cleaning and Ty and Kaili ran a couple of errands. Later that night we went to La Luna for dinner and visited Ty's parents. Tyler's little sister Megan is a counselor at Oak Crest Girls Camp this year, so it was fun to talk with her about her first week. Sunday was the usual and we went over to my parents for dinner and the whole family was there so it was fun for Keith and Kaili to play together and Kyle and Karson.

Phew! Now another week begins, and I swear this one will be much busier! One day at a time right? Happy Monday to you!

My big boy Karson

I can't believe that Karson is almost 1 year old! Where did the time go? I have no clue! He is getting smarter and smarter every day! He loves to eat noodles, and cereal milk, and ice cream. He now knows how to turn himself around and speed race down to the bottom of the stairs, he goes so fast sometimes his feet get caught, and I can just see him tumbling down backwards, so I still have to watch him close on the stairs.
He has discovered things on the floor and wants to put everything thing he finds into his mouth, he also knows how to open up moms cupboards and drawers, so that is another hassle in itself. He loves to throw things ( like his daddy) I think we might have a pitcher on our hands. When he is mad he will take everything is his crib and dump it onto the floor, he likes to throw things in the bathtub and wants me to get them out just for him to do it over and over again!

He LOVES this gray remote. And he is smart and knows when we give him a " fake" remote, he will play with it for a second, but really he wants this remote. He is walking all over the place and I love it! It's so cute to watch him walk around, and jabber, jabber, jabber.
He loves to much on his toothbrush as well! He loves to pull things out of the garbage cans so I am constantly moving those, pull the dvd's out of the dvd stand, you know all that fun stuff!

I love you baby!

Shoes, Shoes The Magical Shoes

Ahem. Yes this is the floor of my closet. I try to at least once a week organize my shoes, so we can actually walk in our closet. Karson likes to mess up my work, and every time we have Kaili she enjoys raiding my closet wearing about 5 different pairs of my shoes and throwing them back in when Ty tells her she has to clean up. However I was thinking about my shoes, when we were watching an episdoe of " Here Comes the Newlyweds" and this girl said she had 17 pairs of shoes. And I thought to myself, " Well that isn't very many"Frankly I have more than 17 pairs of flip flops. Now let me start by saying, I do not throw away shoes. Even if I haven't worn them for years, they are somewhere in my closet. Well the other day I DID throw away about 15 pairs of old shoes, people we are talking about shoes from High School, possibly Jr. High....However I still haves shoes in my closet from High School.

The Flip Flop- I think it's safe to say I have over 20 pairs of flip flops. Some of these are over 5 years old. What Not to Wear would not approve of my flip flop collection because they HATE flip flops unless they are all cutesy, but I will never stop wearing flip flops. They are easy, fast, cute, and practical. They will always be a part of my foot fashion.

The Boot- I love boots! I wear my black boots so much I have to buy a new pair every year or at least every other year, because I wear the heel down, until the nail part starts poking out. I don't buy expensive boots, I bought my black pair I have now in September at Target for $30. I will wear them next year. I have different kinds of brown boots that I love. Boots are just cute. I must admit I am more of a "mid" heel kind of gal now, because come on, hauling around a kid at the grocery store and mall in HUGE heels just to make the outfit, somehow doesn't seem so important any more, but don't get me wrong, I still love heels!

See those shoes in the back of the above picture? You can only see the back of them? Big tan thick heels?I have had those shoes since 9th grade and I got them from my old time favortie shoe store BAKERS, do you all remember that store? Oh I loved it. Any way these shoes have the indents of my toes in them, but I love them and I don't think I will ever give them up. That may gross some people out, but they are classic!

I was going to count how many pairs of shoes I really do have and post it with this post, but I didn't get around to it. I am pretty sure I have at least 75. But please remember, the only pairs of new shoes that I have bought in the past 12 months were my black boots $30, Brown sandals for birthday $20 and a pair of flats $10, so $60 of shoes in 12 months, that is good. You could buy one pair of sheos for $60. I just save shoes, simple as that!

Black Shoes- Everyone has black dressy shoes, casual black shoes, black flip flops, black boots! Love black shoes

Flats- Ah yes! The Ballet flat. I used to be against the shoe, but fell in love with it when I was pregnant. Since I am so short, I always felt like flats made me look "pudgy" and I would never wear them in High School. But now I like them, they are comfy, cute, and just easier to run errands in. I have some silver ones, black ones, cute brown casual ones, and I am a fan of the flats! My sister-in-law Amanda should take a picture of all her ballet flats, because trust me she has every color of the rainbow!

Heels- And of course a girl always loves her heels! Summer heels, black heels, brown dressy heels, work heels! Heels are a classic!

What is YOUR shoe collection like?

Karson's ear surgery

Ah yes, last Thursday night. So Karson woke up at 11:40 pm on Thursday night and I thought to myself, " this will be great, I can feed him and put him back to bed and he will sleep through the night" wrongo! He woke up at 3:30 am wanting a bottle so bad, and of course we could not give him one. We tried rocking him, we tried letting him sleep in bed with us and all he did was cry and cry and cry. It was so sad! Because we knew if we just gave him a bottle he would go back to sleep. So finally at 4:45 I took him into his room and started reading books to him, this calmed him down and we played with his toys, then at about 5:15 I let him play in the tub, because he loves this. The above picture of him was taken at about 5:45 on Friday morning.
So we headed over to the hospital at about 6:30 am and Karson fell asleep in the car, so he got about a 30 min power nap in there. We took him into the hospital and they took us back at about 7:10 everyone loved him of course, his hair is always an attention taker. He got to pick this green bear to play with while we waited in the room.

We had to put on this little hospital gown and booties. It was so sad, by this point he was soo tired, he didn't even care what was going on.

Karson just stayed like this on Ty's lap until they came to get him. Of course I cried, but it was soo fast. He was done in about 10 minutes and we had him back in about 20. He only cried a teeny bit and we gave him an 8 oz bottle and he drank it and fell asleep in Ty's arms. We had to stay for another 30 mins, cause they like to monitor the kids. When we were on our way home I thought Kars would fall asleep in the car, nope. We got home around 9:20 I thought he would be asleep by 10:00, nope, 11:00 nope, finally at 11:30 I got him to sleep so I could take a nap too, I was wiped out! He slept until 1:00 and then I brought him back in bed with me and he slept until 2. He was pretty good the whole day only pulling at his ears a few times.

Here he is playing away in our bedroom. I think the anesthesia (spelling) messed up his sleeping habits though, because we have been having the hardest time getting him down for naps since Friday. We are hoping this will solve the problems of all his ear infections. We are going to the Dr. on Thursday to make sure all is well!

Good Saturday

You know those Saturdays that are just good? Yesterday was one of those days. First off Karson slept all through the night and Ty and I were able to sleep until 7:15 in the morning. We got ready and were out of the house by 9:00 to go eat at IHOP. We had a buy one get one free coupon so we thought we would use it. Breakfast was good and Kars enjoyed the hashbrowns and chocolate chip pancakes I got.

Then we headed over to Uinta Golf so Ty could look at a club he has been wanting, he was able to test a few different ones and found one he wanted. He had $40 in gift cards there, so we put that towards it, and then the club will be his Fathers Day present and part of his birthday. Karson had a blast on the putting green over there chasing balls around. I think this kid, is going to love all kinds of sports! Which will make Ty (and my dad) very happy! :)

Karson was soo tired by this time it was about 11:00 so we went home and Ty got him down for a nap and I was able to go scrapbook at my moms for about 2 hours. I got a lot of Karson's baby pictures done, but still have a long ways to go. I want to get Kaili's birthday and vacation done next. But it was still sooo nice to get some scrapbooking done, oh yeah and I watched Twilight! :) Then I picked us up some Village Baker for lunch, and Karson of course enjoyed that too. We were just hanging out in the basement playing with Karson and the cutest thing happened. Karson just came to me and Ty without being asked and he gave us free kisses. It was sooo cute!

Then we headed out to run some more errands around 3:30. We had to get Kaili a left handed glove for her tee ball, so we went to Sports Authority and Kars was in heaven, he loved looking at and holding all the different kinds of balls. Then I had won a $50 gift card at the UAHU conference to REI, so we went there to look around. Man that store is expensive! I ended up just getting a light blue Nike sports bra and a cute Nike Pink work out shirt. Then I had a gift card to Forever 21 from Nick and Amanda so we ran over there and I got a cute 80ish shirt and a pink tank. Thanks guys! Then we headed over to Pei Wei for dinner. Karson loved my brown rice and the sauce it was in. He was soo tired by this point, because he didn't really have an afternoon nap, so we headed home, then I forgot I needed to get formula for him so I Headed over to Smith's while Ty got Kars to sleep. Then I came home and we topped off the day by Watching Forever Strong which I thought was really good, and eating a pumpkin chocoalte chip cookie! Now that, my friends is what I call a GOOD SATURDAY!

P.S. Karson's surgery went well I have pictures and I will post about that on Monday!

Let's talk TV, Scrapbooking & New Moon, shall we....

So friends, Ty and I were able to watch the Desperate Housewives season finale online. Lets just say I am so glad this Dave thing has been put to rest. It was getting old! Now this Mike, Susan & Katherine thing! What is that about? Who the heck is Mike marrying at the end? I think it's Susan, but who knows!

Grey's Anatomy. Who is going to die? George or Izzie? I think it will be George. And I did so not see that coming, that the guy who saved the girl from the bus was George. And I did not like the "wedding" of Meredith and Derek, um that isn't a real wedding. They should have had them go to the court house, I didn't like that part. Other than that I thought it was a good finale.

Where is my Eli Stone and Lip Stick Jungle? Are they not coming back?

I missed the American Idol season finale as well as The Bachelorette Premier. So I can't make any comments on those. I am going to watch or should I say record...The Bachelorette tonight, because Ty won't watch it with me and I will watch it tomorrow!

Sadly I missed a week and a couple days worth of Gilmore Girls which completely through me off, while I was gone, Lane and her band broke up and she broke up with Zach, Rory ran into Jes, she moved out of her grandparents house in with Logan, and is back at Yale and is the editor, which last I heard Paris was, and she and her mom made up, oh and her and Logan broke up over Thanksgiving? Can someone fill me in on this, and tell me what season I am even in? How many seasons are there total? Why did Lane and Zach break up? I now know they are engaged, but I need the middle parts filled in. Why did Logan and Rory break up over Thanksgiving? How did she and her mom make up? Details!

Karson is almost 1 years old! Lets just say I don't even have half of his 1st year of life scrapbook done, and his birthday will begin his 2nd book. I need to dedicate some time to getting this stuff done. How do people keep caught up on all of thier kids in scrapbooking? I just don't know how to do it all. Maybe this Saturday I can squeeze some scrapbook time in. It gives me anxiety knowing I have all of these pictures just waiting to be glued into books!I have also started trying to get cds of pictures when I get my pictures developed. Because when my kids are all grown up they will take these books with them and I will have NO pictures to show for it. Silly me. I need to work on a scrapbook for me and Ty too. I still haven't even done our honeymoon pictures, yes 3 years later.....sigh...sigh...sigh

New Moon! Um my friend Cheryl posted the new trailer for New Moon, and I have to say I loved it. The transition of Jacob into a wolf was pretty freaking awesome! I hope the wolf will look bigger on screen, but I think it will be good. And HELLO Jacob Black, I can tell you have been working out! Don't worry honey, you are still my #1. :0)

Universal Studios Thursday May 21

This is Ty and his girlfriend Marilyn Monroe made of jelly beans! It was actually pretty cool. She was at this candy store on City Walk outside of Universal Studios.
Ty posing for a picture in a fake Dodger Stadium, we can't cheer for the dodgers of course! He is just pondering how the Braves will beat them!

Ty outside of the Jurassic Park ride, I went on this ride twice he did 3 times. The hill at the end gives me butterflys every time.

Kaili and I posing with The Incredible Hulk! I love how she is standing in this picture.

Kaili and Curious George! She thought he was soo funny.

Ah yes this is Gabby's house on Desperate Housewives! It was pretty cool on the Back Lot tour we saw the whole Wysteria Lane set. Since I love Desperate Housewives I thought this was pretty fun!
Kaili and Sponge Bob!
Dora! Dora! Dora The Explorer! So Universal Studios was open from 10-6. In my opinion they should be open until at least 8. Any way due to traffic we got there a bit late, but it ended up being fine, because the park wasn't busy at all! When we first got there we headed over to the new Simpons ride. We only had to wait about 10 minutes. It was a fun, crazy, intense ride. It's like those rides that make you feel like you are IN the ride. Does that make sense? Any way after that we went over to The Backlot Tour ride, which that was the longest we waited for a ride all day, which was about 40 minutes. Then we took the many, many escalators down to the bottom of the park to go on Jurassic Park and The Mummy ride. The Mummy is a roller coaster ride which is pretty cool. You are basically in pitch black the whole time, and you go really fast down sharp turns and steep short hills. It was fun. There wasn't much for Kaili to do here, but she still had fun. She loved seeing all the charachters, my mom and I took her to the Curious George playland and we got her some ice cream and she was happy as can be. She liked the Water World show that we went to at the end, and we got weat during that as well. All in all Universal was a great day!
